Sony Xperia GO, U and Sola to get ICS update this week

Sony has confirmed that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update will begin rolling out this week for the Xperia Go, Xperia U and Xperia Sola.

The rollout will first be available for unlocked/international handsets, including those that are available to purchase from the Clove website. Network updates should then follow shortly after.

As well as updating the handsets from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich, Sony has also included some nice new features with the firmware upgrade. The Walkman app is updated, bringing improved albums and media suites, while the Xperia Sola will have a new ‘Glove mode’, which makes it possible to use the handset whilst wearing a pair of gloves.

The third addition to the 2012 Xperia range is now available

We now have the Sony Xperia P in stock at Clove Technology, priced at £275 (£330 inc.VAT) and will ship outstanding orders tomorrow. We now have both the Xperia P black and Xperia P silver available.

Following the release of the Xperia U earlier this week, the P is nestled between the flagship Xperia S and budget Xperia U in Sony’s NXT series. Check out its features and our unboxing video after the cut.

Sony Xperia U–Arriving tomorrow

The first stock of the Sony Xperia U smartphone will be arriving in stock at Clove tomorrow.

This is the smallest in the new Xperia line of handsets from Sony, but the device still features a dual-core processor, Android operating system, 4GB internal storage, DLNA and more.

There is the option to change the theme of the device with the light colour changing with the theme.  Included in the box also is an exchangeable end cap so the device can have either a black or pink cap on the base of the phone.
