Panasonic ELUGA Power now due Q3

We’ll have to wait a bit longer for Panasonic’s new flagship

We have just had the news that we can now expect stock of the Panasonic ELUGA Power to arrive later June/early July.

After its announcement at Mobile World Congress, we were initially informed that the IP57-rated device could be expected towards the end of April. However, Panasonic has now told us that the release date has been pushed back to the beginning of Q3.

Panasonic ELUGA Power available to pre-order at Clove, coming late April

Eluga-Power-2

We now have the Panasonic ELUGA Power available to pre-order on the Clove website. We have confirmed with Panasonic that its new handset is due to launch in the UK in late April, with a price tag of of £399 (£478.80 inc. VAT). Placing a pre-order now will reserve a handset for you, although you will not be charged until details have been confirmed closer to stock arriving.

The ELUGA Power has received some very positive reviews at Mobile World Congress, mostly thanks to its 5-inch LCD display. We anticipate this being a surprisingly popular device this year. While it may seem like a bit of an outsider when stood next to the current big smartphone manufacturers, Panasonic is a well-respected company that has some great technology behind it. The ELUGA Power could well be the device that propels its name to the top of high-quality smartphones.

The main features of the ELUGA Power include:

  • 5″ 1280 x 720 HD Display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual-core processor
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • International standard IP57 water and dustproofing
  • 8MP Camera with autofocus and 1080p Full HD video recording
  • Superfast charging – 50% charge takes just 30 minutes, and 80% takes 57 minutes (provided it starts charging from a 10% charged status)
  • 8GB Internal Memory
  • MicroSD slot expandable up to 32GB
  • 136 x 70 x 9.6mm
