Motorola announced at the end of last week that the Jelly Bean update for the Motorola RAZR and Motorola RAZR MAXX had begun rolling out. As expected, this includes enhancements such as Google Now, expandable notifications and voice search.
Interestingly, Motorola has also removed elements of Motoblur. Users that have received the US Verizon version of the update (version.98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US) have reported that some of Motorola’s own apps and widgets have been removed, or replaced with stock Google apps.
Those apps that have been removed include Social Location, MOTOACTV, MOTOPRINT and Verizon on demand video.
Removed widgets include My Gallery, My MOTOCAST, My Music, Picture>Slideshow, Social Location, Sticky Note, Weather and World Clock.
MOTOCAST has been redesigned and is now faster and is now a standalone app- it is no longer linked to MyMusic, Files and Gallery.
Alarm/Timer, My Gallery and My Music have been replaced with their stock Android equivalents.
At the moment we do not know if the same goes for updates outside of the US, so let us know if the comments if you do receive the update.
