You may be aware that here at Clove we range several car docks for varying devices that can be switched into car mode, to make it more user friendly and safer for use when in a vehicle.
One example of a dock like this is the iBolt vehicle dock for the Samsung Galaxy S3.
However recent updates to Android have disabled the android.dock_home which is necessary for manufacturers of devices and cradles to take advantage of these car features.
Specific to the Samsung Galaxy S3 this dock allows you to mount your Samsung Galaxy S3 in a case, whilst holding it securely and allowing you to take audio out from the phone too.

The iBolt vehicle dock for the Samsung Galaxy S3 is now in stock.
Like any other dock it holds the device securely in place on a windscreen or dashboard, but unlike many other docks it allows you to mount your device in the dock with a case on it and it also take the audio out from the dock to a 3.5mm audio connector that you can connect to your car stereo (if required).

This vehicle dock, unlike many others allows you to mount your HTC One X in a vehicle with a case on the phone. No longer is there the need to remove it from the case to mount it into the dock. Just remove once, the plate from the dock and you are away.
We have been talking recently about iBolt vehicle docks for the HTC One X.
They have received a warm welcome, being that they are bespoke to the One X and allow the phone to be docked with a case. No more removing the case before putting it in a car kit.
Well fantastic news, there is now one for the Galaxy S3.
The official Samsung dock is not even specific to the S3, it has clamp arms, but this is different, it is custom to the S3, has the option to be docked with or without a case and what’s more it comes with a charging cable and the ability to take audio out.

It is a simple oversight that many manufacturers make, but they do so for good reason as it is more difficult and expensive to make.
Many of us use a phone in a case and too use a phone in a vehicle, but we have to use more generic vehicle docks or remove the case which is slightly annoying.
