Huawei Ascend P1 now just £225 + VAT

We’ve just dropped the price of the Huawei Ascend P1 to just £225 (£270 including VAT). This is a great price for a beautifully designed handset that offers a form factor not that dissimilar to the new iPhone 5.

Two of the stand out features promoted for the iPhone 5 are how light and slim it is. The P1 is slightly lighter – 110g compared to 112g – and almost as thin – 7.69mm to 7.6mm. It is slightly larger than the iPhone 5, measuring roughly half a centimetre extra in length and width, but still feels great in the hand.

Huawei Ascend P1–Coming Soon

Huawei’s P1 makes a statement

The Huawei Ascend P1 is one of the latest in the Huawei line up of phones.  If you have been following the smartphone news of late, it has been getting quite a bit of coverage and fairly positive reviews.

It is all too easy to opt for the most marketed, or most talked about phones (nothing wrong with that…I have one!), however there is a lot to be said for those who opt for something different.

The P1 is one of those that is a little bit different.  It has a dual-core processor, Android 4 and a 4.3” display, so it is by no means lacking, however it is somewhat in the shadows of the new quad-core devices.

It does however measure just 7.69mm thick, that is thin however you look at it.  It weighs in at a mere 110 grams too.

It reminds me of the Sony Xperia Arc.  It was and still is a fantastic phone but perhaps didn’t get the limelight it deserved.  Yes in places it was plastic but the design was compelling and I loved using it.

If you are in the market, give it a chance, because as I have said before (HERE), Huawei are the ones to watch.

You can too check out the promotional videos below or find out more about the P1 here.
