We have today enabled the facility to buy the Samsung Galaxy S II Extended battery.
This is an official Samsung accessory and is a physically thicker battery that has a capacity of 2000mAh.
It comes complete with a replacement back cover (in black – not available in white).
It will not be until early November that stock is available, but if you are a power user and want a bit more battery life then this is an ideal accessory.

Mashable put out an interesting article regarding how Samsung name their smartphones.
Apparently the naming system they use works as follows.
S = Super Smart and relates to a flagship device, such as a Galaxy S II.
R = Royal or refined and suggests a premium model just below the S class.
W = Wonder and means high quality mod range device.
M = Magical and denotes a mid-to-low-end smartphone.
Y = Young and refers to an entry level device.
Pro = Refers to a device with a QWERTY keyboard.
LTE = A device that supports Long Term Evolution (4G).
This is probably the best promotional video I’ve seen from Samsung recently, especially for the SGS2. Some of the previous videos it released weren’t anything to shout about (the one with the gold fish bowl, for example), but this one’s clever and will make you chuckle a bit. It’s to promote the imminent release of the Samsung Galaxy S II in the US.
In the second on this small series looking at ways to extend your battery life with hardware solutions its time to look at portable external chargers, in this case Proporta’s USB TurboCharger 5000. Could this be the solution for you? Read on to find out…
The T3 Gadget Awards 2011 are now open and there are a couple of great prizes to be won if you get involved with the voting. On offer for your opinion is the chance to win an iPad 2 and Motorola ATRIX. In total there are 15 categories to vote in, those that we are particularly interested in are Phone of the Year, Tablet of the Year and Work Gadget of the Year.
Unsurprisingly several of the Phone of the Year contenders include our bestselling handsets of 2011:
HTC Incredible S
Apple iPhone 4
To view the other categories, head over to T3 and cast your vote.
So the Samsung Galaxy S II power pack is one of those ‘rare’ Samsung accessories that everyone has been asking about.
Getting the most of your battery life is a topic near to the hearts of many smartphone owners – its a thing most of us have spent considerable time and effort learning to manage.
This is last smartphone camera application we will be looking at in this series on smartphone photography and will no doubt be one of the most favoured amongst the new Samsung Galaxy S II users out there!
So without further or do…
What is certainly noticeable that the layout is quite different to the likes of a HTC device. Similar functions but different layout.
Starting in the top left we can switch between the front and rear facing camera and then have the flash and settings button.
We can confirm that the massively popular Samsung Galaxy S II 16GB will be available from Clove in WHITE from approximately the 15th August.
