BlackBerry Pearl 9105 Unboxed

The BlackBerry Pearl 9105 has now been on the market a couple of months and we have brought you various bits of information on this to date, but one thing that we have yet to do is bring you a complete unboxing and review of the product on video.

Dave at Geekanoids has kindly put together this video of the Pearl 9105 that we recently lent him. So why not check out the video below for a full review.

BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9105 – keeping you connected

When it was brought out earlier this year, the BlackBerry Pearl 9105 caused a bit of a stir by being the first in the range to be released with a standard numeric keyboard, rather than the qwerty keyboard that had until then defined the BlackBerry’s design.

However, the functionality of the keyboard hasn’t been lost, meaning for essential features such as BlackBerry Messenger it’s as responsive as you’d expect. SuteType technology learns the words you use most in texts and emails so you can write messages at lightning speed.

The removal of the qwerty keyboard means that the Pearl 9105 has a sleek, candybar design and a real air of elegance, meaning it will be attractive to both BlackBerry officianados (for its functionality) and those who’ve never owned a RIM phone before (for its good looks).

There’s a 3.2 megapixel camera that enables you to snap high quality photographs and record video. And you can upgrade your phone’s memory to 34GB with a MicroSD card, meaning there’s plenty of space to store all your precious memories.

Video and music playback is easy and of excellent quality and other key features include built-in GPS with Blackberry maps, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and a good battery life. The 1150 mAHr battery will provide 30 hours music playback, 5 hours talk-time or 18 days stand-by time.

The easy to use, familiar handset means this is the ideal first smartphone, while its high-end feature set and performance will make the Pearl 9105 attractive to even the most experienced Smartphone users.
