Samsung Galaxy A9: Now Available At Clove
Touted as the world’s first quad-camera smartphone (other phones have 4 total lenses, although this was the first to market with 4 in a single array), Galaxy A9 offers substantial options for photography.
Samsung Galaxy A9 is available SIM Free from Clove Technology in Lemonade Blue, Caviar Black and Bubblegum Pink.
So what makes up this quad-camera? The main sensor is a healthy 24MP with an f/1.7 aperture for decent low-light performance. Each of the three flanking sensors has a unique role. First up is an 8MP ultra-wide lens with 120° field of view. This comes in to play for wide landscape photography or big group shots (like weddings).
Next is a 10MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The nature of optics in smartphones means zoom is always going to be difficult to achieve without losing resolution, so every little helps if you need it. Lastly, a 5MP depth sensor allows you to manually adjust the depth of field, prior to taking a picture.
When shooting in manual mode, you have access to several options on-screen, which automatically make use of their required camera. If that all sounds a bit much, Samsung’s Scene Optimiser and Flaw Detection features will automatically recognise your subjects and surroundings, in order to pick the best combination of features for a stunning image.
