Samsung Galaxy Note 9: Rumour Round-Up
The wait is nearly over.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will officially be launched in New York on 9th August and with it, the rumour mill is at overdraft. But what do early rumours suggest?
All supposed leaks and rumours point towards a design that is surprisingly similar to the Galaxy Note 8.
Following the Samsung mould, the Note 9 is reportedly crafted with metal and glass. A signature Super AMOLED Infinity Display curves around the length of the device, housing a tall aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The impressive 6.4-inch display has a 2,960 x 1,440-pixel resolution.
With a large display, the device is said to measure in at 162 x 76.4 x 8.8mm, making it around 0.2mm thicker than its predecessor. The Bixby assistant button is placed below the volume keys on the left, whilst the fingerprint scanner remains to the rear of the device.

One of the headlining features of the Note 9 is the new S-Pen that is rumoured to be equipped with Bluetooth support.
This opens up entirely new functionality for the device in allowing the stylus to become a remote control of sorts. In this way, the pen will have a variety of uses, including as a long-range clicker or a music control. As such, the S-Pen will house a battery of its own.

The camera of the Note 9 is expected to be a similar set-up of that within the Note 8; a 12MP dual rear shooter and 8MP front camera. Instead, photography upgrades are rumoured to be due to software improvements, focussing on overall performance and optical stabilisation.
An impressive 4,000mAh battery will be compatible with Samsung’s Adaptive Fast Charging but will make the device a little heavier.
Finally, the device is said to be both dust and water resistant.
