    Brave or stupid? Certainly exciting.

Next week Huawei reveal their Honor 10 device the day before the OnePlus 6 has it’s global launch. We had a look at the early specification rumours of each device and attempted to pull the two apart.

Honor 10: The new Honor device is said to feature a 5.84-inch IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 432 pixels per inch.

OnePlus 6: In comparison, the screen of the OnePlus 6 has a rumoured 6.28-inch optic AMOLED display, with a pixel density of 402 pixels per inch. OnePlus have confirmed that device will have an edge-to-edge design, broken only by a small notch at the top of the device.

Both displays have Gorilla Glass Protection and a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels

    Winner: OnePlus 6

The Honor 10 is bold and eye-catching

Honor 10: Prior to the UK launch, an official Android Central review claims that the glass back of the Honor 10 shifts colours according to how the light shines upon it. The device is sure to be bold and eye-catching, however features a hotly-debated notch.

A fingerprint sensor is obvious underneath the screen, and international colours will be black, teal and blue, all of which will take on a pink hue depending on angles and how the light shines on it.

OnePlus 6: Unfortunately, not as much is known about the OnePlus 6’s design prior to release. We do know that the device will be made with glass, which OnePlus say will create ‘a sense of value’, giving it a premium feel. This has led to many rumours about wireless charging, however none of these rumours have been confirmed. Release colours are said to include Black, White and Blue.

    Winner: Honor 10

Honor 10: A significant upgrade from it’s predecessor, the Honor 10 comes with a dual 24MP/16MP rear camera and 24MP front camera. The device features Huawei-s AI-driven camera capabilities seen on other recent devices, including scene recognition.

OnePlus 6: A horizontal dual camera is aesthetically pleasing, however OnePlus’ shooter measures in at 20MP/16MP with a 16MP front camera. The device is rumoured to feature ‘Super Slo Mo’ however we will find out more on Thursday.

Both devices record 4K videos at 30 frames a second

    Winner: Honor 10

Rumours suggest the OnePlus 6 will be available with 256GB internal storage.

Honor 10: The Honor 10 is available with 64GB of internal storage and 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Alternatively, you can purchase the device with 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM.

OnePlus 6: Memory options for the OnePlus 6 are as follows; 64GB & 6GB RAM, 128GB and 6GB RAM, 256GB and 8GB RAM.

    Winner: OnePlus 6

It’s impossible to decide between the two until full specifications are released. It’ll be a fierce competition between Honor and OnePlus next week and we can’t wait to watch it all unfold.
