Get the retro feel with Nokia

Just like last year, Nokia has given us a retro feel with their recent announcements.

    Nokia 8110 4G

The Nokia 8110 4G may especially bring back fond memories from the 90s.  As the original version was one of the icons, for the latter part of the decade.  With it even appearing in the hit film the Matrix.

It came to be known as the “banana” phone due to its unique design, which featured a slight curve and protective cover for the keyboard.  With it’s at the time changing what users could expect from a mobile phone, offering new technology.

The new Nokia 8110 4G doesn’t have any groundbreaking technology, but it has been updated to provide modern features.

With it, you get to enjoy the benefit of 4G/LTE connectivity for fast downloads and access to the internet.  With the design updated to a polycarbonate shell, while retaining the classic look.

Yet you still have great battery life with Nokia estimating up to 25 days on standby, and you can still play snake.

    Nokia 1

So, why is the Nokia 1 in this roundup of classic retro phones?  The answer is that it features Xxpress-on Covers, which if you have previously encountered them, were great fun.

The ability to almost instantly change the look of your phone gave people the ability to express themselves.  Almost changing the look of their phone, depending on their mood.

Beyond this, it is a solid phone, which is intended for new Android users.  It benefits from having Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition).  This lite version of Android features smaller app sizes and a streamlined interface.

This increases the amount of storage available on the phone and means that updates are smaller.  While an enhanced download manager gives users the ability to fine-tune data available to apps.
