• Samsung Galaxy Note 4 – stock delayed until 24th October

    By Josh , October 14, 2014 - Leave a comment

Samsung Galaxy Note 4We have today received an update on the availability of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Unfortunately the stock due to be with us on Friday 17th has been delayed by 1 week and is now expected on the 24th October.

    UPDATE  23/10

Samsung have again delayed stock of the SIM free Galaxy Note 4 to online retailers.

We have now been told to expect our first stock from the 31st October.

    Charcoal Black & Frost White

The above affects all customers who have a Charcoal Black or Frost White Note 4 on order with us. We will continue to hold your order and ship it as soon as the first stock arrives.

If you have not ordered from us, then you may wish to do so, as the demand for the Note 4 is high and our price currently remains £54 less than Samsung direct. We would hate for anyone to miss out!

    Bronze Gold

If you have an order for the Gold colour option, please refer to your email regarding the availability of this (we have now emailed you). This option has been removed from sale on our website due to an exclusivity agreement signed by Samsung. We will reinstate this once we have confirmation it has ended and stock is available.

If you wish to change your Gold order for a Black or White model, please respond to the email you will have been sent with your choice of colour and we will get this changed for you.

We appreciate the delay is frustrating. We wish to get hands-on with the Note 4 too, we love tech after all!

Updates will continue to be placed on this blog and on our website should the situation change.

We are doing what we can to ship orders as soon as possible.

In the meantime we are still taking new orders for the Black and White Note 4:

Order a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from Clove Technology

  • Apparently 3rd party sellers will see delays as oppose to Samsung and their partners. Looks like Samsung still aim to release the Note 4 on the 17th.

    • That might be the case Josh. We will have to wait and see what Samsung do on Friday and whether they open sales on their own site.
They’re selling at over a £50 premium directly though, so it might be a sales tactic to make some more money in the 1st week.
Regardless of the reason though we are definitely looking at the 24th now based on updates from Samsung’s supply chain

  • Well that has obviously now been changed and pushed further out according to your emails till the 31st of October!!

    • That’s right Simon. We have emailed everyone with an order or with a registered interest to explain the situation.
At this time Samsung have not given us a new date.
This is not at all how we would want to business, however we effectively depend on Samsung to release the stock – at this time it appears that they are only distributing to their own stores or those with a high street presence in the UK.

  • Its now 7 November at the time of me writing this comment.

I’m patiently waiting for the “in stock” announcement.

I hope you get stock before Christmas!

    Regards
    Mark

    • We hope so too Mark! By this time, we really would have hoped Samsung to release to online retailers.
They’re certainly making the most profitability they can by channeling people customers to their own stores / contract sales for the last month.
We’re waiting day by day for a green light now, itching to be able to put out some good news…

  • Hi Josh
Thanks for the reply I’ll keep patiently waiting for your in stock announcement
    Regards
    Mark

  • Still waiting at the time of writing 15/11/2014

You’ve now got EU variant in stock. But I want a UK variant.

    Oh well Carry On Waiting!

    Regards
    Mark

    • Hi Mark, yes we made the decision to import some from mainland Europe.
We noticed that many of our online competitors were doing this very same thing, which was also causing us to receive lots of frustrated emails that ‘other places’ were selling the Note 4, so why weren’t we…
We’ve made it obvious by listing the EU model separately and will be asking everyone to confirm if they want to switch, rather than just shipping.
The EU version is still the same model number (GT-900F) although comes sealed with an EU adapter – a UK plug is provided separately

    • Hi Mark, no it is not the ‘Adaptive Fast Charging’ unit that Samsung provide in the UK box.
It is still a high rated 2.1A charger, so will be significantly quicker than most chargers, but it is not the official adaptive one.

  • Hi Josh

At the time of writing (21/11) still no UK variant stock.

I’m starting to conclude Samsung hates the UK, because you can import French versions of the phone.

Oh well carrying on waiting 🙁

    Regards
    Mark

    • Hi Mark, yes it is frustrating, there is UK stock but Samsung continue to only provide it only to their own stores and high street sellers.
The EU models we get are exactly the same specification and carry the 24 month warranty valid in the UK. The only issue is you won’t get the the 3 pin UK Adaptive Charger.
