    Wearable technology for a new generation

    GALAXY GearAlongside the Note 3 announcement at last week’s IFA Trade Show was Samsung’s reveal of the long anticipated Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

    The Galaxy Gear has been designed as the perfect companion accessory to new Samsung Galaxy devices; unlike other smartwatches it will be designed to interface only with Samsung handsets – the Note 3 and Note 10.1 2014 edition at launch and others via a software update.

    Available in a range of 6 colours: Black, Grey, Beige, Orange, Green and Gold, the Galaxy Gear is now available to pre-order at £235 + delivery & VAT where applicable. First stock is due in the last week of September and we are currently expecting all colours to arrive.

    Record up to 10 seconds of 720p video with the 1.9 MP camera built in to the watch strap and store with the on board 4 GB internal storage.

    Josh joined Clove part time a few years ago whilst studying Computing at Bournemouth University.   • This is great news, I can’t wait to get one! I’m just a bit confused about the colours as they don’t obviously match up with the photos. I assume by elimination that “Oatmeal Beige” is the silver watch with the white strap, and “Rose Gold” also has a white strap but is the only watch that isn’t silver?

      Yes the colours are a bit confusing. You are correct in that going by the photos the Rose Gold is the only variant that doesn’t have a silver watch face. Lime Green also seems like a strange naming choice as the strap looks to be more of a yellow colour in the photos.
