Sony Xperia Z Tablet now available to order

Today we are pleased to announce that we have our first pricing and availability information for the Sony Xperia Z Tablet. The new LTE enabled, 10 inch tablet computer from Sony is the perfect companion device to the recently launched Xperia Z smartphone, built with a near identical design language and including many similar features including an impressive IP57 rating making it water and dust resistant.

Running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and featuring a powerful quad-core processor, high quality 8 megapixel camera with Sony Exmor R sensor, 10 inch Full HD Reality Display and the same beautiful build quality seen in the Xperia Z smartphone, the Xperia Z tablet looks like first device this year to really step up the Android tablet game to a new level.

  • Qualcomm S4 1.5 GHz Quad Core Processor with Adreno 320 GPU

  1. i don’t understand why sony didnt come out with a 7inch tablet which can be easily portable, next month may 15th google’s nexus 7 updated version coming out, 1080p screen faster processor than sony’s maybe the camera and waterproof is the difference but atleast its almost half the price of a sony tablet, this tablet is already outdated and it hasn’t come out yet.

  2. Wait what? you say that Nexus 7 got better screen? wrong agian.. Acttly Xperia Z tablet got a better screen, stable prossesor. The design is also WAY better. a little + is that you can take a swim with the tablet..

      Hi Thomas,

I think Jim is saying that the updated version of the Nexus 7 (which is still rumoured at this stage) will have a better screen, not that the current version does.
