• CES: Qualcomm announce new powerful 600 & 800 mobile processors

    Qualcomm have blown everyone out of the water with their latest announcement. the leading mobile chipset manufacturer have announced two new Snapdragon chips that are set to take the reigns in 2013.

    The Snapdragon 800 is promised to operate 75% faster with greater energy efficiency. The Snapdragon 800 is a quad-core processor that can run up to 2.3 GHz, while the Snapdragon 600 is clocked at 1.9GHz which is said to be 40% more powerful than the S4 Pro. Both chips will feature Adreno GPU’s; the 600 will have a 320 GPU and the 800 will feature a 330 GPU. The Adreno 330 GPU that will feaure on the 800 chipset is said to be twice as good as the 320 GPU.

    Qualcomm are facing competition however; so we can expect some hugely powerful devices towards the middle to late part of this year!
