The rollout of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update has begun in Germany for the Wi-Fi only model of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (N8010). This means that it shouldn’t be all that long before the update is available in the UK.
According to UnwiredView the update is 441MB in size so you’ll want to be connected to Wi-Fi to download it once it does arrive.

Wow thats a great news. Im eagerly waiting for it. However could you tell us an idea how long would it take to launch in uk.
Thanks
Hi Tarinder,
There is no indication yet as to when it will roll out in the UK, but it shouldn’t be too long given that it’s started in Europe.
just got jelly bean update ota this morning n8010 in glasgow scotland
And why do they take so long. Dont they respect their customers?
Contacted their support team, that’s a joke for a start.
Apparently they have no idea of when it will be rolled out apparently it is controlled by Google? So an update to their devices Firmware is controlled completely by another Company!!! When I mentioned all the new Samsung software included in the update apparently that is controlled by Google also!! I was also told without prompting that if i called back I would be told the same thing so it would be pointless. I then spoke to Customer Service who also did not know anything about anything unfortunately, they did try to call head office with no answer and she did also apologise.
I am now understanding why people buy Apple…..
O dear. We understand it to be controlled by Samsung but Google have to approve it before it is rolled out. It will come, it just takes a bit of time.
Aaaaarrrggghhh!!! Its taking forever!! Have been waiting 3 months now! And hopelessly pressing the software update icon! I am getting annoyed at samsung now! All I ever hear is Germany Germany GERMANY!!! When will we get it :’( :@@!
Official N8010 – OTA update in available in UK.
Update was painless, took about 5 mins, all apps and settings kept working very well, new features, Google now, S voice – haven’t been through everything they, but the multi window update is impressive.
