So a few hard hitting facts…
Scientist have found that 16% of UK mobile phones contain traces of E coli bacteria. 1 in 6 phones in the UK are contaminated with faecal bacteria due to poor personal hygiene.
We take our mobile phones everywhere. They live in our pockets and bags, amongst loose change and any other crustaceans that have accumulated over time. We use our phones at home, around town, on the tube and at the dinner table. All this contact with the elements exposes the device to many different types of bacteria.
Bacteria thrives in areas of warmth and with mobile phone generating there own heat maybe it is not a wise idea to tuck your phone under your pillow without a clean first. Apparently the average mobile phone has more bacteria than your office work place and in some cases more than a toilet seat.
To clean your phone you do not need to spend on some special formula simply use an alcohol and water solution and use a micro fibre cleaning cloth and give it a good scrub. Make sure you get in all the nooks and crannies and avoid licking your phone in the future!
