As yet there is no information on when exactly stock will be available but if you are keen to be one of the first you can put your name down for one right now!

In terms of specification as the name would suggest, the Mini does not have the same powerful specification of the S III but they are more than acceptable for most smartphone users:

  • 8GB memory
  • 5 megapixel camera and LED flash
  • VGA front facing camera
  • 3G (no 4G/LTE)
  • Bluetooth
  • NFC
  • 1500mAh battery
  • Measures 121.55mm x 63mm x 9.85 mm
  • Weighs 111.5 grams

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini

Very similar specs and price point to the Ace 2, with an AMOLED screen, storage upgrade from 4Gb, memory doubled and NFC; should be good!

  2. Bangash says

No doubt this is one of the best Mobile for those who like the small size set. But the price of this mobile i.e. (£249) (£298.80 inc VAT) is too much. Since this mobile is low in terms of Specs from its big brother (Galaxy S III), so its price should be reasonable reduced. By doing so, Samsung can attract much more clients to this mobile. Hopefully the concerned authorities would give serious consideration to this points

      Hi Bangash,

Thanks for your comment. While the pricing that we have posted is from Samsung, it is possible that the price will change before launch.

When the same Samsung will stop making First Galaxy S reincarnations and begin building something new. Yes, I’m not a fan of Samsung, but agree that Galaxy S was the great device for THAT time – not forever.

    • Chris Ward says

      Hi Mikhail,

Thanks for your comment. I think we can take the release of the S3 mini as a sign that Samsung wants to build the ‘Galaxy S’ brand name throughout its range, so it may be around for some time yet! Have you had one of the Galaxy S devices as your own?

    • Ian says

Not sure I get this point, are you objecting to the S branding or the relatively low specs? Samsung have (relatively) recently released two higher end devices, one very different from anything else in the market; why shouldn’t they also release a device for the person with smaller pockets and wallets?
