Unless you own a Nexus device, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be waiting for an OTA (Over The Air) update to upgrade you to the next version of Android. It can be tricky to keep on top of when the update is actually due to arrive, especially with the dates often changing or having not been announced.
A useful new site called androidupdat.es has just launched and looks to ease the frustration of finding out when your device is due for an update. At the moment there are around 30 handsets listed, with more due to be added soon. The site tells you which stage the update process is at (promised, delivered, never or start), tells you which version of Android your handset will be updated to and also provides the news source for the update info. You can filter the handsets by manufacturer, model or carrier and there’s also an RSS feed to so you can get new additions in your reader.
