Leaks begin ahead of iPhone 5 announcement this evening

It’s been impossible to avoid the news that Apple is expected to unveil the latest iteration of its iPhone in San Francisco this evening and, in typical tech announcement fashion, details have already begun to leak prior to the event taking place.

Of course, there have been rumours of the iPhone 5 specs for months now, but details that emerge just hours before an event tend to be a bit more reliable. So far the name has been confirmed (surprisingly) as the ‘iPhone 5’, as has a 4G LTE handset for EE (Everything Everywhere) and it looks like the new Apple dock connector will be called ‘Lightning’. We can expect plenty more details to leak before tonight’s event begins at 6PM (UK time) as well.

We’ll get the official details listed on the Clove Blog and website once they’re available.

  1. I totally agree with you Chris and it is about time for Apple to unveil their new iPhone and I do hope it is indeed the new iPhone 5.
