Hi, had a problem with the touchscreen on my 3 month old Tipo and had the screen and touchpad sensor replaced. Now, when making or receiving calls, as soon as I press answer, or dial, the phones goes to blank screen and I cant hear anything on the phone. When the person on the other end, who can hear everything, hangs up. The phone returns to normal.
Anyone know how to fix this or had a similar issue?

Hi Matt,
The first step would be to perform a factory reset. If the problem persists the handset will need to be returned to Sony for repair.

The file loads fine for us. Perhaps try using a different browser.
Just bought this phone trying to set and im trying to set up my hotmail email account and it wont allow for some reason, the user guide is not helpful either. Why cant I link up to a simple hotmail account? My old blackberry did it easily, can someone help?
It should be a fairly straight forward process using the email app. What issues are you getting?
I keep getting messages that say the server is not recognisable and the email account cant be supported. It then asks what type of account it is, which I have no idea. I have tried all 3 options it gives but keep getting the same message as earlier.

I’m having trouble with the alarm clock in my new Sony Xperia Tipo! No matter what I try the sound doesn’t work. When the alarm goes off, it only vibrates but no sound. Have you any idea what the problem might be?
Do all other sounds work? I.e playing a video etc.

I need call conference option, my Sony Xperia tipo not holds any call when I tap hold option. It is saying “unable to switch the call”. I am using Reliance GSM SIM. Please give me any guide for this. Thanks in advance.
You may want to speak to Sony/your network provider over this matter.
i just want to know how to move apps from phone memory to memory card
There are several options.
1. Try settings menu>applications> click on the an app and see if there is an option for move to SD
2. Download Apps 2 SD to monitor where apps are installed and push them to the SD.
Hi, my partner bought me my sony xperia tipo for christmas and i love it.
Only problem is that i cannot locate how to clear cache. i have looked on many websites that tell how to do this, go to browser then menu then privacy settings and its meant to be there, however my browser is o2 and has no menu option in the top right hand corner as all the other step by step instuctions seem to have. Please help !!!
When you access your web browser is it called ‘browser’ or ‘internet’?

Do you mean you keep loosing signal?
when I am loading say for instance R30 and I check after 10min then there’s R20 and so it will go on until there’s nothing If I stop the running apps it comes back after a few minutes so I do’nt know if that is the problem or something else? how do I stop this? Tx so much for the quick response
R20 and R30 we do not know what you are referring too. What are you loading. Provide more detailed information please.
i am using vodacom. when I am loading my airtime eg. R30 and I check again my airtime balance after 10minutes it will reflect R20 without me making any fone calls or sending messages and so it keep on decreasing until there is no airtime at all. Hope this explain better
This is because you have mobile date switched on which means you can access the internet when not in a WiFi zone. Go into setting>Network settings>Mobile Data (or similar path), if the box is ticked, tap it to untick mobile data

Download it from the Play Store. Connect via WiFi to save data costs.

Hey ya screen is unresponsive can only power on and off, same when restarted after bat has been removed and replaced I feel I want to try a hard reset before forking out for repairs. Any help gladly appreciated?
The manual does not detail a reset other than going through the settings and if the screen is not responding, you can not do this. We advise you speak to Sony.
