I received mine from you guys earlier this week. I felt the packaging was underdone; made it seem a bit bargain basement.
It’s worth mentioning that with the CaseMate Barely There case it just about fits in the dock with the insert still in place; holds it very securely.
One odd thing I noticed is that the dock connector is on the opposite side compared to what you can see on their website. Perhaps it’s a right-hand drive thing, but it means that the S3′s power button is hidden and you have to remove the phone from the dock to switch it on or off.
A slight niggle is that the microUSB socket has very little clearance on one side so many microUSB leads won’t fit into it. The supplied lead fits of course.
Overall it seems like a good solid dock though.

What is the advantage of this over the Samsung official car dock which seems to be around £5 less and has a fixed microusb connector rather than having to plug it in manually. I suspect that the Samsung device automatically selects “car mode” whereas this unboxing video shows it manually being selected.
In future, it would be helpful to potential customers if rather than just the demo, mention could be made of “plus and minus” points compared with alternatives.
Car mode is automatically selected with the iBolt dock.
To be fair to Clove an unboxing isn’t supposed to be a review or a comparison. Those things are useful too but they’re a different kettle of fish.

When connected to cradle the phone when switched off then restarts its self !! why?
on my bmw the socket for the auto plus is in the arm rest and the power/ciggy plug is in the dash so the cable will only reach one of them due to them both being attached together at 12 inches from the end ?
otherwize looking good and will test out fully over the next few weeks…..

On the phone reseting , its when the phone is in its case and the insert has been taken out , the on/off switch on the side is in contact with the holder and when you hit a bump or press down on the phone (when in landscape position) it is pressed and resets…
other point when incoming phone call received how do you get to the answer screen , should it not default to this when you receive a call or text muting the music as well ?

I’ve noticed an issue related to the phone being the other way up. When you go into camera mode (e.g. to video the trip) the picture’s upside-down.
It seems the camera will happily orient in any direction normally but when in car mode it only goes the one way, and it’s the wrong way for this dock.
It’s possible it’s happening because I have a German phone, but I suspect it could affect all S3′s.
I’m not sure why they’ve reversed the dock compared to what’s shown on their site. It hides the power button, seems to cause resets (although I’m using the insert and a case so hopefully won’t have that issue) and also the camera issue and I can’t see any benefit to it.
I have exatctly the same problem. With the USB on the left camera shows upside-down in the Car Mode – any ideas?
So far I really love it but I do have one issue. I get a ton of feed back when trying to listen to phone audio in my car. Very frustrating. If I press very hard on the usb into the phone it goes away. Should I take it back to verizon and see if I just have a bad one?
Mine stopped docking what do I do
Mine seems to have stopped docking too.
I can’t work out whether this is due an Android update or pins in the usb no longer connecting. I would guess that if it has happened to you too, then it is likely to be the Android update.
The switching off causes by the on-off button being pressed when you close the holder is very annoying.
