What are modern smartphones made of?

imageWe all use our mobiles and smartphones on a daily basis, but do we stop to think what is inside them?

Yes, we may think about singe, dual or quad-core processors, the memory size etc., but the actual components that make them work. The bits that connect all the parts together and make a backlight display possible.

It is all to easy with a technologically advanced world we live in to overlook some very high tech components that without would leave us phoneless!

The BBC put together a short piece about this in a recent episode of the One Show.
