Pinterest for Android confirmed, due date TBC

Pinterest for Android confirmed at Google I/O

This comes as no great surprise, but a Pinterest app for Android was confirmed at Google I/O yesterday. The app was demonstarted to Android Central on a Nexus 7 by its lead developer. At the moment a release date remains to be confirmed, so it could be a while yet before we see it.

Pinterest has grown rapidly to become one of the biggest players in the social networking space, so it makes sense for it to get an Android app out as soon as possible. There’s no hands-on video yet, but the image below gives a rough idea of how it will look. The app is said to feature better sharing options than its iOS counterpart and will sync with your current Pinterest account.
