    Jon,
Is this Pen marketed purely at the Galaxy SIII or can it be used with say the Galaxy Note?
Not had time to do any research on this item and it has slipped by my In tray on things to check out.

    Thanks.

Basically what I am trying to find out is would I be correct in assuming it is a standard pen and not from the Wacom stables?
As you know the Galaxy Note’s S Pen is a Wacom-made “S Pen” for note-taking and drawing.
It recognize both right-handed and left-handed users, mimicking the act of physically taking notes.
Supporting Pressure Sensitive technology, he harder you press the pen on the Note, the thicker and bolder your lines will be.

Appreciate the video. It would be nice if you could add a little further documentation on this new C Pen.

      Thanks.

      • This pen is a capacitive pen (hence the “C” Pen name). As such it will not replicate functionality of the S Pen. Similarly, the S Pen will simply not work on the Galaxy S III.

        • Mike Paterson says:

Thank you Andrew. I am fully aware the S Pen being a Wacom Pen will not work with the SIII.
Having now had time to carry out some checks it would appear the C Pen is indeed a standard pen as I thought.

The c-pen only seems to work with the S3 though, doesn’t work with other phones.

  2. dennis winkelman says:

The c pen don’t work with a screenprotector.

  3. Michael S says:

    Bought 2 Galaxy S3s and 2 C pen styulas
Was about ready to send the pens back to Samsung in discuss. Saw your post and removed added screen protectors from both units – presto, the pens work – not really smooth but good enough to keep. The main reason being my fingers are to big for typing on the small keyboard so its going to have to be a choice between the matt screen without pen or the glossy + pen……..:-(

  4. Miltos Miltiadous says:

Is it possible to find replacement tips (the black silicone like contact part of the c-Pen of mine is damaged due to me putting it in my pocket but is easilly dettachable) and if yes, where from (Europe).
    Thanks
    :-)

  5. Michael Swiftr says:

    Repairing C pen:
Unscrew both tip components and remove rubber tube. Trim end of tube and reinsert it through the hollowed piece till about 3 mm protrudes outside the end. Reintroduced the inner piece and then replace the unit into the holder. The rubber tube will now protrude bond the metal core and stop it impacting the glass screen.
This fix will work as well as the original design (I can only say the capacitive system on the S3 is very poor and not worth using.)

  6. Chris Ward says:

    Hi Smitty,

The C Pen is a separate accessory. We have it for sale here:
