We’ll have to wait a bit longer for Panasonic’s new flagship
We have just had the news that we can now expect stock of the Panasonic ELUGA Power to arrive later June/early July.
After its announcement at Mobile World Congress, we were initially informed that the IP57-rated device could be expected towards the end of April. However, Panasonic has now told us that the release date has been pushed back to the beginning of Q3.
It’s a shame the handset isn’t coming to market a bit sooner; it’s a worthy competitor to the likes of the One X, Samsung Galaxy S III and LG Optimus 4X. Its 5”, 1280 x 720 HD display would see it second to only the Galaxy Note in terms of screen size, while its IP57 protection rating also gives it an edge over rival devices. The added bonus of a MicroSD slot will also catch the eye of prospective buyers, as will its super-fast charging capabilities.
We do currently have the ELUGA Power open to pre-order, so if you would like to reserve one for its release, go ahead and put your name down. At this stage you won’t be charged and we’ll contact you closer to release to confirm your order. Alternatively, put your name and address in the ‘Notify Me’ box on the product page and we’ll drop you a line once we have more details.
