Sony Xperia U is compatible with the Sony LiveDock

LiveDock gives you USB hosting on the Xperia U

We’re pleased to confirm that the Sony Xperia U is compatible with the Sony LiveDock. This means that you can connect USB accessories to your Xperia U, such as USB memory sticks, USB mouse/keyboard and USB games controllers.

When you connect the Xperia U to the dock for the first time, you are given the option to specify a launch app and the screen is automatically rotated to a landscape view.

We have also tested a USB hosting cable with the Xperia U and unfortunately it is not compatible. However, this could change once the handset is upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream sandwich and we will update this post once we have had the chance to test it.

The Sony Xperia S is also compatible with the LiveDock (demo below), which means that in all probability the Xperia P will be compatible as well. We’ll double check with the P when we can and update this post.
