Viber for Blackberry

For those not familiar with Viber, the company offer a cross platform VOIP calling service similar to Skype along with rich instant messaging capabilities similar to those found in services such as Whatsapp. Like Whatsapp it also integrates with your phone number instead of forcing you to keep track of yet another online account.

With apps already available for iPhone and Android, Blackberry users are almost ready to join the party as well. I say almost, as the app is still in beta and doesn’t yet offer VOIP calling.

So if you fancy using your Blackberry to ask girls how their parties were and receiving suspiciously well shot pictures in response without using your text/MMS allowance, head on over to the Blackberry App World and pick it up!

    I cannot download Viber o9n my Blackberry Curve. When I try to download I get the message, downloading, then it comes up as an error but will not allow me to access the details of that error.
