Whether you are worried about the very latest operating system for your smartphone or not, it is often nice to know that the option is there for you.
The most ardent of fans may not be too worried because you will upgrade to the latest hardware anyhow.
It has however been confirmed that current BlackBerry devices will not get the recently revealed BlackBerry 10 update.
It comes down primarily to applications. All apps currently running on the BlackBerry OS need to be re-written for OS 10.
RIM will continue to support BlackBerry 7.1 for a while, so do not be too concerned.
