HTC Sense – Part 2 of 5 – Camera (ImageSense)

HTC ImageSense turns your phone camera into a true digital camera. Recording HD video and want to capture a still shot? Taking photos when there’s low light, no light or backlight? No problem. HTC ImageSense lets you do this and so much more. With a vast array of features, it just might be the only camera you’ll ever need to bring with you.

HTC Video Pic

At a concert, sports event, an outing and want to capture the moment. Do you take a video or a photo? It can be a tough decision. You might be more likely to look back at a picture but a video will capture the moment better.

HTC Video Pic lets you do both. Record HD video and at the same time (of later) capture still images whilst recording. And just in case you wondered, you won’t get a shutter sound in the middle of video recording!

Instant Capture

How many great images have you missed?

Don’t wait. Use your camera the instant you need it by simply swiping the screen, even if it’s password-protected. Do you often miss key parts of action sequences? Zero shutter lag means what you see is what you get when you press the shutter button so there’s no delay.

Always Focus

Focusing on something can be a really issue and affect the final image results. Whether it be poor focusing or just slow to respond, thanks to the extended depth of field (EDOF) provided by the HTC ImageChip, EDOF technology keeps the camera always in focus, even when you quickly switch from subjects nearby to those far off. As soon as your camera is activated, you are ready to capture that moment.

Continuous Shooting

HTC ImageChip processes each image at incredibly fast speeds so you can take non-stop, rapid-fire shots. Then pick out the very best ones to keep or share. Less reason or chance of missing that heat of the moment shot.

Low light

Camera’s especially those on phones can be ruined in low light.

HTC’s F2.0 aperture lens lets in more of the available light. A BSI sensor helps boost the available light and the powerful HTC ImageChip delivers clear, sharp images even in low light. All this happens automatically, the second you open your camera.

HTC Smart Flash

In many low light situations you need flash. Flash helps put more light on the subject but on some phone the flash is not powerful enough or too bright.

HTC Smart Flash automatically senses the distance between the camera and object and applies up to five different flash levels, from subtle to bright.

HDR

How many times have you taken a once-in-a-lifetime shot – like when you come upon a unique sight while travelling – only to discover that the foreground is dark and the background is washed out.

Select HDR from the camera scenes menu and your camera will take three quick shots of different exposures every time you press the shutter. It creates a picture you’ll love by marrying the best parts of each shot into one, showing more detail in both the foreground and the background.

HTC ImageChip

At the heart of HTC ImageSense lies HTC ImageChip.

Super smart and lightning fast, it removes the noise that causes graininess – like when you shoot in low-light. It uses Colour Lens Shading correction to balance and refine the colour across your entire image.

It adds Extended Depth of Field to keep more of what’s in the viewfinder in sharp focus, no matter how close or far it is from the lens and because the HTC ImageChip processes image after image with lightning fast speed, you no longer have to wait between shots.
