The following video has been circulating the web today. It has been produced by HTC and explains the work that goes into producing the the metal unibody shell of the HTC One S.
The rather fancy title of Micro Arc Oxidation is a process which involves taking aircraft grade aluminium and focusing 10,000 volts of electricity directly onto the metal. It in turn gives the case the ceramic look and feel.
Aesthetics asides it does too enhance the durability and strength of the metal.
