NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-Core Smartphones–Coming this quarter?

Tegra 3 Quad-Core Smartphones Will Ship This QuarterGottaBeMobile is reporting that NVIDIA says there will be Tegra 3 smartphones on display at Mobile World Congress.

Now we are well aware of the rumours going around about HTC releasing a quad-core handset at MWC but does this mean that we will see another manufacturer launch one?

Samsung have claimed they are not announcing a handset, but there are new rumours of a Galaxy Note 10.1 that have risen over the last couple of days as a result of a mistake or a typo by Samsung.

With only a week or so to go we will wait to see what happens, but according to NVIDIA’s CEO Jen-Hsun Huang Tegra 3 enabled handsets will ship this quarter, he tells investor – so not long to wait.

We will keep you updates as soon as more information becomes available.

  1. i fear for battery life, it isnt great with dual core

    • @Clive: Good point, but remembing the Tegra3 SoC has a 5th ‘companion’ core, battery life may actually increase in terms of idle usage?

Agree it will suffer greatly when gaming though!!
