Sony/Sony Ericsson has announced the SmartWatch, an Android watch that connects to your Sony phone via Bluetooth and keeps you updated and your hands free.

An evolution of the LiveView the SmartWatch allows you to catch up on tweets, text and emails as well as see who is calling you and more.

Scratch and splash proof the multi-touch display feels like a normal watch on your wrist, but it is just a bit more intelligent.

Specialised apps allow you to customise it to do more for you and make it more personal.

Compatible phones include the Xperia Arc S and the just announced Xperia S.
