The full range of accessories for the RAZR can be found HERE, but the main ones are as follows:
Motorola RAZR Work & Play Kit – £99 + VAT – Motorola Part code: ASMWORKPLAYTOP-GB2A
A bundled package that comprises of a HD multimedia dock, wireless Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, HDMI cable and a power supply for the dock.
Motorola RAZR Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse – £52 + VAT – Motorola Part code: ASMKEYBRDMOUSE-GB0A
A wireless keyboard and mouse for the RAZR which will allow you to navigate the device and enter information into it without the need to use the touch screen.
Motorola RAZR Vehicle Dock – £33.33 + VAT – Motorola Part Code: ASMXT910CARDOCK-XE9A
This official vehicle dock from Motorola enables you to mount your Motorola RAZR to be the perfect driving companion. Take your calls hands-free and navigate in style with the built in GPS software that loads automatically when the device is inserted. The suction cup allows for mounting to either the windscreen or dash, whichever suits your driving style or vehicle best. Also included is a micro-USB car charger with dual USB port so you can keep your RAZR fully charged for when you reach your destination as well as charging another device at the same time.
Motorola RAZR HD Multimedia Dock – £49.99 + VAT – Motorola Part Code: ASMHDMMDOCKTOP-TRI2A
Unleash the hidden potential of your Motorola RAZR with the official HD multimedia dock. Slip the RAZR into this docking station and you can connect the device to an external display via HDMI. Once connected, the RAZR will convert to its Linux based “webtop” OS so you can browse the internet in full with Firefox and flash support as well as having access to full-screen document editing, emails and the stored Android applications (where full screen is supported) within the webtop environment.
The HD station also features 3 USB ports for connecting mass storage devices and other accessories too as well as coming with a 18W power port (UK power supply included) and 3.5mm audio out connectivity options.
Motorola RAZR Standard HD Dock – £24.99 + VAT – Motorola Part Code: ASMHDDOCKTOP-TRI0A
A great addition to any desktop or workspace, the Motorola RAZR HD dock allows you to sit your device at the ideal viewing angle and charge your device too (power supply sold separately). The dock will remember your saved viewing preferences so you get the same experience every time you attach your RAZR.
Connect up a HDMI cable and you can connect it to a HD display and use your phone as a multimedia hub.
Motorola Webtop Adapter – £33.33 + VAT – Motorola Part Code: ASMWEBTOPADPTER-XE0A
The Motorola Webtop adapter is a special piece of kit that connects to the microUSB and HDMI port on your Motorola device. Once connected you can connect a microUSB power and Micro HDMI to full HDMI cable to it to keep your Motorola smartphone or tablet powered and to view the device contents on a larger HD display.
Why do I need this adapter? If you connected a HDMI cable to the device without this, you would get only a mirror image of your device screen on the HD display. With the webtop adapter you get more advanced features like you would when connected to a HD dock, without the need for the HD dock.
Browse the web with more convenience thanks to webtops full Firefox browser. See your device screen whilst browsing a web page in a separate window. Explore file directories and much more.
This little adapter saves carrying a full HD dock, ideal if you are travelling.
Use the wireless keyboard and mouse at the same time (sold separately) and you have a powerful working solution.
Motorola RAZR Smart Controller / Premium Bluetooth Remote- £74.99 + VAT – Motorola Part Code: ASMBTREMOTE-XE0A
Control your Motorola RAZR from the other side of the room when docked in a multimedia hub and connected to a HD display. With the Motorola Smart Controller you can wirelessly control your docked phone or tablet.
The touchpad on the controller lets you control the action on your device, with full gesture support including swipe, zoom and rotate.
Four dedicated buttons make device control even easier still with a menu, home, back and search key.
What’s more, the smart controller allows you to take calls when the phone is docked. Just turn the controller over, press the button and hold the controller to your ear like a conventional phone and you can take the call without having to touch the RAZR itself.
Pretty impressive all told, the controller does too respond to voice commands to make device control even easier.
Motorola RAZR Lapdock 500 (Premium) – £249.17 + VAT – Motorola Part Code: ASMLAPDOKPRE2_0-GB2A
The Lapdock 500 transforms what is a smartphone into a laptop computing experience.
Using only the power of the Motorola RAZR itself, the Lapdock 500 boots up to give you full access to your smartphone content and more.
Boasting a 14″ high definition display, the lapdock is ideal for those who want a bigger screen for web browsing or a large keyboard for typing emails or documents, rather than doing it through the smartphones touchscreen interface.
Just in case 14″ is not enough, you can use the VGA out to connect the Lapdock to an even larger screen or projector, making it perfect for many business scenarios…and remember all the content is on the phone, not the dock!
Anything you do on the RAZR you can do on the Lapdock, only with the benefit of a bigger screen, full firefox web browser, large keyboard and touchpad.
Lighter then a traditional laptop, but approximately the same size the Lapdock 500 is a hybrid in terms of computing capability and weight. Weighing in at just 1.4KG the Lapdock with its 36Kwh battery will give around 4 hours web browsing time (connect to the mains for longer broswing times).
WiFi enabled the lapdock can connect to wireless networks that you are in range of, but if out of range, use the data connection on your phone to download the content you need. The added benefit of the 500 is that is does too have an ethernet connection for a faster, more reliable wired connection to the internet.
Multi-tasking is all possible. Access your phones content at the same time as you browse a web page on the firefox browser.
Bothered about security, well if you are you need not worry too much with the Lapdock 500 because all the content is on the phone and not the dock, so loose the dock you know that no-one can obtain the data. When you are at a desk or workstation with the lapdock and your RAZR, the Kensington lock on the dock itself will help avoid potential theft.
The RAZR is a very capable smartphone, but the lapdock 100 offers the larger screen and keyboard that we sometimes need as users. For the most demanding of users, this is an accessory that you may not be able to do without.
