HTC has officially the HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio. This is the first handset to be announced since HTC bought a majority stake in Dr.Dre’s Beats Audio and looks to be a fantastic debut for the audio/smartphone hardware combination.
Featuring the black and red design that has become synonymous with the Beats Audio design, the Sensation XE builds on the success of the Sensation and offers a few new features besides the Beats Audio in ear-headphones that are bundled with the device.
Improving on its predecessor, the Sensation XE comes with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and improved battery life. Thanks to the Beats Audio hardware, it automatically switches to a different sound profile when the headphones are plugged in to deliver ‘studio quality audio’. The Sensation XE will also include either an 8GB or 16GB microSD card to store all the music you’ll be listening to.
The Press Release from HTC states a September release – we’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more specific details about date of arrival and pricing.
