New Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Announced

Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7.

The new tablet from Samsung is the follow up to its very first tablet – the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which was one of the first iPad alternatives and proved to be very popular.

Needless to say, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a refreshed design and an enhanced feature set.  When released, it will be the first ever tablet to feature a Super-AMOLED display, which has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. At just 7.9mm thick it’s super-thin and this will combine nicely with its metallic finish to make it feel good in the hand.

We haven’t had word on pricing just yet, although reports suggest that it will be available before the end of the year. Check out the rest of the main features and images below:

  • Dual-core 1.4GHz processor
  • TouchWiz UX
  • HSPA
  • Wi-Fi
  • GPS
  • 3.5mm headset jack
  • Bluetooth 3.0
  • 3MP rear camera
  • 2MP front-facing camera
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 16GB / 32GB / 64GB of internal memory.
