There’s an interesting post from James over at TracyandMatt this morning regarding RIM and its BlackBerry handsets. I agree with James that RIM has been receiving a lot of negative coverage lately and one article that caught my eye in particular was this open letter from an employee to RIM bosses.
No doubt the Canadian manufacturer does have its share of problems at the moment and does need to launch some strong handsets to reaffirm its position in the market, but as James points out its not all doom and gloom as is being portrayed by some.
The tweet from BlackBerry below shows that while RIM may be struggling a bit in North America, that’s not the case in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. ![]()

With 13.2 million BlackBerry Smartphones being shipped in the last quarter RIM are far from doomed. Don’t get me wrong, I do agree that the devices they are producing are lagging behind the competition and the sooner they can show us a Smartphone running QNX the better
