  1. Perhaps not the type of question you can answer but I’m still finding the price of this a little high…

Any word on the pricing over the coming months?

    • We would expect a price drop at some stage but we do not know when/how significant it would be. How significant a drop would interest you?

      • Being over £500inc makes it painful to consider.

I think it’s just we’ve seen reasonably quick price drops on some of the new HTC, LG and Sony phones it might be nice to see the same for this.

First one to £450 between this and the sensation wins my cash perhaps ;)

  2. No way is anyone going to be selling this phone sim-free for £450 or currently are right now.

    • I don’t see why hoping for a 15% price drop over say the next couple of months is unreasonable….

The Desire HD certainly saw a bigger drop than that. Recently the Optimus 2x dropped a fair chunk as did the Xperia Play. The Atrix is also looking like it’ll be close to £400 when it launches Sim free.

I feel £450-£470 is about the most I’d be willing to pay for a top end smart phone and if that delays a purchase a little bit then so be it. I doubt I’m alone in finding that £500 crosses a line.

      • In the next couple of months, sure, i don’t find that unreasonable at all but i thought you meant right now. If you’re happy to wait 2-3 months then i expect you might be able to find someone selling it at the pric you’re looking for.

      • Incidentally, I notice this morning that another retailer has reduced the Galaxy S II by a reasonable amount.
