Worldwide Shipment Delays

At clove.co.uk we ship all over the world, with either DHL, FedEx or Royal Mail, whom then use their own services or a representative service in each country.

Servicing such a broad range of countries, near or far to ourselves it can be difficult to provide accurate delivery times to all locations, especially if we are sending to a country we do not service quite so often.

At all times we try to provide the most accurate dispatch times for orders sent out via the various shipping services we offer, the time frames provided are however an ‘average’ (based on working days) and sometimes parcels will arrive before, within or after these time frames.

At this time of year, due to the volume of mail in addition to some of the adverse weather conditions we are experiencing in the UK at the moment ‘some’ packages are for reasons most often beyond our control getting delayed.

As is the case most years, but more noticeably this year, with the increase in online shopping at Christmas, the mail services (couriers (DHL and FedEx) excluded) are struggling to cope.

There are a few areas of the world where at present there appear, for reasons (not just Christmas) which are not always clear extended delays in parcels arriving.

Affected Areas:

UK: Packages are taking 10-14 days longer than the specified ‘average’ delivery period.

Australasia (Australia and New Zealand): Packages are taking 10-14 days longer than the specified ‘average’ delivery period.

China: Packages are taking 10-14 days longer than the specified ‘average’ delivery period.

Russia: Packages are taking 21-30 days longer than the specified ‘average’ delivery period.

We insure all packages against, loss and damage in transit.

If you already have an outstanding shipment in one of these areas then please be patient, as we are sure it will arrive.  Whilst we would like the www.royalmail.com tracking to provide more accurate information rather than just saying it has been handed to your specified country it is not possible.

We are aware that the Royal Mail tracking number remains the same with the postal service that Royal Mail hands the package to once it has left he UK. However, we do not have a list of the services that are used for each country, although this is information that we would like to obtain from customers in the coming weeks/months. If you know which service is used o deliver Royal Mail packages in your country, please comment below. The countries we currently have information for are:

China:

Russia:

Ukraine:

USA:

We have also found that http://www.track-trace.com/post can be of use for some countries.

If you want the most accurate tracking information please opt for DHL or FedEx delivery.

Please note: We can not offer courier services to Russia or China, it is mail only.

Officially a package is declared lost only after ‘25 working days’ in transit.  In normal circumstances we would use our judgement to send a replacement or refund a little sooner, however based on the current conditions, we will not do so for the above regions at this time.

If you are placing an order with Clove, at this time we recommend opting for either DHL or FedEx, depending upon what options are available for your country.

If your package has been in transit for more than 25 working days, then you may contact us and we will undertake an investigation.  If you contact us before this time, you will receive an automated response respectfully requesting that you wait.

We trust that the above will make clear any confusions that currently exist surrounding delivery.

  1. Royal Mail is delivered by Australia Post in Australia.

Their online tracking doesn’t work for intl. signed delivery, but you can track your package by calling on 13POST and pressing 2, 2 to quickly get through the voice menu system and to an operator.

(p.s. Arggggh… very frustrating after the long delays with the DHD to now be waiting 3 weeks for post!)

    • Hi Luke,

Thanks very much for that info. Unfortunately the timing couldn’t have been worse with the Desire HD delay coinciding with the busy festive period.

      • Nevermind, it is arriving today finally, just in time for Christmas. Felt good to vent a bit though :) Merry Christmas Clove.
