HTC Desire HD – Shipping Dates

HTC_Desire_HD_Dark_Brown_Front Back Given the very high level of enquiries on the shipment dates for orders of the Desire HD we have put together this blog post which we hope will keep you informed.  We will update it regularly and this should be your reference point for information.

As with many of the recent HTC launches the demand has been very strong and the supply has been both poor and subject to change in dates.

We therefore wish to try and advise of the current situation as best we can.

Due to the very poor supply and high demand, we have taken the very difficult but necessary action to disable the ability to purchase the Desire HD on the www.clove.co.uk website and will only re-instate this facility once we have cleared our backorders or had more positive news on supply.

If you have already placed an order do not be concerned – we still have your order.

13 DECEMBER STOCK UPDATE:

DESIRE HD IS NOW IN STOCK – ALL ORDERS SHIPPING AS NORMAL

We process all orders as quickly as we can once stock arrives but can not guarantee dispatch on the above dates and may charge in advance.

We appreciate your patience in this situation which is very difficult and frustrating for all of us. Remember we are very keen to ship your order as soon as we can. We will keep this blog post updated with regard to shipping dates as best we can.

When your Desire HD ships you will receive despatch notification (including your package tracking number) by email. Due to the current situation we are getting a very high number of email enquiries requesting specific delivery dates on individual orders which we cannot confirm. Please use the above information, which will be updated regularly to find out the expected shipping date of your order.

We respectfully ask you not to email us about your specific order.

  1. I THINK YOU WILL TAKE LOOOOOONG TIME BECAUSE ANOTHER WEBSITES ALREADY DELIVERED UNTIL 15TH OCTOBER
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I SHOULD SAY I REALLY DISAPPOINT FROM MY FIRST PURCHASING WITH YOU
    THANKS ALOT

    • Hussein, we understand your comments but we stress that we have had just as many units to date, if not more than other suppliers and we believe it is testament to our reputation that we must have a larger backorder list that other suppliers. the supply issue is out of our hands but we are working to supply all orders as quickly as possible.

      • Dear clove
this is not professional way to make a business if you are not sure from the date of supplier so u should not promise the people for any date !!!!!
Thanks For your kind reply :(

    • how come other uk online shop have stocks already and yet you dont have any? its dec. 2 wheres your stock

  2. Thanks to Clove for the honesty and transparency. Pity HTC have made such a mess of this, still at least they’re not Samsung!

Bit annoyed that I managed to miss one of the cut off dates by one day but what can you do.

  3. Vladimir Kilinkarov says:

Your shipment terms are not as those written in the order form. I cannot wait for so long as it is a birthday gift. So I would like to cancel the order and get the money back asap. Hope to hearing from you soon.

  4. Abdulelah says:

me too i tired for waiting you , when you say this is should clear October and November .

i am waiting from 5 October and chick every day , and i don’t have any answer , it should and it not should .

if i come to UK and buy it and back again i think i will take maximum 4 days

from 5 oct to 5 not is a month , i can wait
but my visa is noy waiting , yesterday i see my mony back again in visa coz is pending for a month , so what can i do ?? order again and wait to 2012 or what ??
    is your fault not mine

    • We are sorry about the situation, we are trying to be honest at all times. You need not place the order again. We shall take payment when the order is ready for diaptch.

  5. Don’t envy you right now. I believe that HTC is the one to blame here. Thanks for keeping us updated though I’m greatly disappointed for having to wait two months to get my phone. Won’t pre-order an HTC product again.

  6. Vladimir Kilinkarov says:

I need my money back! That is all!

  7. I really hope this time you’ll stick to the deadlines. It doesn’t seem like your fault, but still it’s really frustrating :(

  8. I have cancelled my order thank you. unlockedmobiles.com does a better job. I asure you this will cost you more in bad publicity and my cancelled order. Never again shall we do business.

  9. I just want the thing before Christmas! :-)

  10. Thanks for posting the expected timeline.
    Really appreciate it.

  11. i made a pre-order in 27th of october. so as this announcement says i will be lucky if i got my mobile shipped by 30th of Nov my question is: can i cancel the order without any charge?

  12. Dear Clove,
thanks for information. I ordered DHD on third decade of November but I’m not going to cancel the order as you inform me and I still have a hope to get my DHD before new year.
I wish you a patience at this hard time :)

  13. of course, november=october :)

  14. I, too, appreciate the honesty and transparency. Probably the only thing that annoys me about this is that at my time of purchase (26 Oct) the site said next stock due late October/early Nov, without making the point that this would only fill orders many weeks before I’d be placing mine – a little disingenuous and misleading…

    • Yes, this is my one complaint. The stock comment on the website was clearly a little misleading for some time.

However, when I pointed this out after making my order they did accept this and update the site.

    • I think the problem is all retailers were caught out by very low volumes of phones sent by HTC. From reading everyones updates it appears that no one was briefed to expect a handful of phones when hundreds have been ordered, but this is what HTC sent.
For my I am keeping my order. Cancel here and try ordering anywhere else (except for a carrier locked down version) and you may end up waiting much much longer. Its just a risk I don’t wan’t to take (wish I could get my phone soon though)

      • That sounds sensible Vince, all retailers are in the same boat regarding supply, except of course the mobile network carriers who have received a larger amount of stock initially. It will be well worth the wait :D

  15. Your doing a great job on keeping us updated, very much appreciated! Awesome work Clove!

    Ignore the whingers! :)

  16. Don’t apologise guys, it is not your fault. Just keep us up to date :) thx

  17. Your email on Oct 28 states that stock due on 8th November “should clear a large number of backorders for October – we would estimate to ship orders placed up to approx the 20th October” but this post states that these orders will not be shipped for an extra 2 or 3 weeks? Pretty big mistake to make..

    • At all times we have provided information that has been fed from HTC. Situations change and regretfully it has changed for the worst. It is a global issue and we trust that the patience and wait will be worthwhile.

  18. Gordon Ferguson says:

I have every sympathy for you. My need for it is that my 3yr old HTC Tytn can not sync with Windows 7 /Outlook 2010. In the meantime is there a site to upload/see the full Manual for the Desire HD in order to swot up in anticipation of delivery in about 3 weeks?

  19. Not an official download of it but came across this a few weeks ago:

    http://kaipee.co.uk/dhd/DHD_manual.pdf

  20. Hi Clove,
I have a small question, if everybody else is cancelling their orders, that means that my order will ship earlier? :) LOL, just kidding, i wish you the best, keep up the good work you do, im sorry that people cant realize thats absolutely not your fault, AT ALL! you are honest enough to update us along the way, email us back with answers, some website doesn’t do that at all!!
i will wait till you ship it, hope sooner then its written!

    Thanks Clove
    Nir

  21. Heya – I’m waiting for new orders to open up. Appreciate the honesty and updates. If you have any spares due to people above cancelling – hook a brother up!

  22. Dear Clove,

You are not alone in this as there seems to be a universal shortage of stock. I took a chance and managed to bag mine from Carphone Warehouse who are now also out of stock. However, whilst I sympathise with your plight, as one of HTC’s partners, you really ought to impress upon them that this is ot acceptable as it is ruining reputations, including theirs. People want the phone so there is no need to drip feed the market. If they were not ready to manufacture enough handsets to meet the demand, they would have been better served to simply wait!

    Regards,

    T.

  23. Malooky Linx says:

    Hi,

I have my HTC DESIRE HD , I’ve had it for a week!! I can tell you the wait is well worth it! Best phone i’ve owned thus far.

  24. Im really very dissapointed from u guys
this phone is a birthday present for my wife
    I really don’t know what to do now !!! :( (((((
I think I won’t purchase anything again from Clove

  25. Can’t blame people for cancelling, but thanks though it puts me further up the list to get mine earlier!

    • Thanks clove for keeping us up to date.

    • Yes…. might be a little early to ask this but could the guys at Clove perhaps give us some idea about how the inevitable cancellations are affecting the situation? If not, when do you think we’re likely to get an update to this post.

  26. Why guys you say you will update this post, but nothin happens till day before yesterdey? OK, you asked not to email you so often, but you do promiced to update the situation every day . So do that pls.

    • We have promised to update the post regularly. Essentially we will update the post every time the situation changes or when we have some new information. If the post has not been updated for a day or two, that is because we have no new information to give you.

  27. Hi clove
Checked my bank card and the same situation as Abdulelah says at Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 9:27 am
Money are unblocked due to a month has passed.
Do i need to re-order again or my order is still in force? my initial order was made the 4th of October and i hope you to dispath the phone next week.
    thanks
    Yerzhan

  28. Do we get any freebies for the wait? XD lol

  29. hi peeps,
As htc obviously far underestimated the desire (excuse the pun) for the demand globally for the hd, they have been caught out, on the supply & demand, but supplying them on a drip feed to clove & others is far from acceptable! they should do what other comerce manufactures do, manufacture in bulk, ship in bulk, end result everybody is happy:)as aleksander orlov say’s “simples” so big shout to htc. “EMPLOY MORE PEOPLE! MANUFACTURE MORE! AND SHIP IN BULK!” I work for dhl so maybe i can charter a few more cargo shipments to the uk hehehe, CLOVE: your doing a cracking good job, doing what you can, just wish the people moaning would just keep checking up every day or two, 10/10 clove, over n out

    • Thanks for the positive feedback.

The situation regarding supply is frustrating, the demand for the original HTC Desire should have given HTC a good indication of how popular the Desire HD would be. Our understanding is that production has been ramped up, but this is still not enough to cope with demand. It does show how strong a handset the Desire was and it has given HTC a very good name in terms of the standard of its handsets. It would have made things much simpler for us if release had been enough until there was enough supply to meet demand, but I think demand is so strong that we could have been looking at the device not being released until halfway through next year if this was the case!

  30. Hey Clove,

Thanks for you open and honest updates, this is an intense situation for all involved.
To the whingers out there, try and think of the delay as extended excitement.
The novelty a new phone wears off not matter how Epic the Desire HD is.
This extended suspense is all part of the fun, it will make the actual arrival of the phone that much more appreciated.

    Thanks for the updates.

    With Massive Anticipation
    Taylor

  31. Hello. I ordered first DHD at 6 october and second at 24 october. Is it possible to combine this orders in one and send together? And because of long delay can you send it with faster mail than regular? UK so far away from Chelyabinsk… :)

all the other sellers who are having delayed orders are compensating in one way or other !! cmon clove do something..!!

  33. I have to say that I applaud you guys for putting up my comment and letting it get through the moderator, especially with a competitor mentioned. I was surprised. Whether critical or not I will speak of a good thing when I see it. I hope you guys have a better way of limiting pre-orders next time for your own sake. The long term damage is far greater than short term gain.

  34. I fully agree with Adam. The situation with pure supplies of htc devices (dhd) is not you fault of course. We’re just talking about the unsubstantiated promises that have occurred over the past two months. It turns out that you had a huge customer army that is mostly dissapointed. And huge amount of the people choose handtech, maybe that’s why now they call themselves the number one online seller in UK. Sorry for my english. Pls next time do your best. Cheers

  35. hi Clove

to be honest with you, I don’t really care whose problem is YOU or HTC it doesn’t matter for me!

me as a costumer i paid money and i expect the phone to arrive at the right time as you advertise in your website!!!

    sorry for bad english

and btw why charging us more than 7 pounds to be transferred in england while other sites doing it for free for instance amazon !!!!!!!

  36. I feel for you and the pressure you’re getting because of htc and the whole uk custom thing!
    However, i don’t have a

The time in the world and I will be sending an email to the sales team to cancel the order. Thanks a bunch

  37. Hi guys.

yes it is frustrating but unfortunately PDA/mobile phone companies do the same time and again.

In 2002 I bought via Clove the Fujitsu Loox 600 and just like now they had not manufactured enough units to take up the demand. I had to wait some time for it.

Come 2004 they released the Fujitsu Loox 720 and again i ordered via clove in July that year. Fujitsu had not made enough units until September and I was one of the first to get it via Clove.

Unfortunately after 6 good years of service my 720 went kaput and I am terribly lost without it :P but I take comfort from my previous experience in that Clove will deliver and they will keep me informed as they did back in 2004 with the then forum FirstLoox.

So guys please give Clove some slack…PDA/Mobile phone manufacturers are notoriously fickle and shortsighted in production runs and undoubtedly they tell Clove one thing and then dont deliver. If you are in my position you will notice your card has not been charged and will not be charged until the order ships. Your net loss at this time is just irritable impatience.

Chris keep up the good work…your website has been in my bookmarks since 2004.
    :D

  38. Can I have my HTC Desire HD for free just like when a pizza doesn’t make it to my house in under 30 minutes?

My order was on 2nd October. I was expecting it to be here in under 30 minutes.

And to answer your question, yes, I do plan on eating this phone.

    • Adam, a very witty response and one that made us laugh in a stressful time.

Whilst we can not stop you doing what you please with the phone we do advise to think twice about eating the device!

  39. Good day CLOVE.I think You must give extra some prise for people who waited long time DHD. (like here – http://www.unlocked-mobiles.com/

    • Yes that’s right, cose we must be compensed because of the delay!!!

      • My take on this is it it’s not down to Clove to make amends, this mess really isn’t their fault. It’s up to HTC.

Now, it appears that a couple of other resellers have managed to get some form of freebies out of HTC and pass them on.

I would assume that Clove are trying to do the same. If they manage that, great, if they don’t then blame HTC.

      • To be honest, I dont care whose foult is this. I contact with clove, clove promised me to do a job, several times I was agree with this delay, but tell me who will care about my moral compensation?

      • “Moral Compensation”???!!

I’m annoyed as the next person but come on, it’s only a phone!

  40. P.s.
I must say that till now Clove was my favorite online store, and i didn’t have any problems with them before, that’s why i still waiting my order to be dispatched. and believe in decency of Clove

  41. Come on man)))) Yes it is just a phone , but belive me everything begins from a little

  42. Hi folks
    You exaggeration
This can especially for anyone he considered a good and reliable seller as clove Store
    Best product to huge demand
If you find other stores that provide immediate and I would understand but there is no such thing online! No one not in the U.S. and Europe
At least not in quantities that better examined
The quickest way to get the device is to wait patiently for the store will provide everyone in clove best price online!

    clove
Keep it for your excellent service and to pay attention to people making perfume

  43. Majeed bjn says:

Thank you Clove.com for your honestly…
BUT I wish that all delaied shipments get at least a complimentary gift.
Another point that I want you to clearefy for us .. is there any defected devices had been reported by custemors??

    • hhmmm.. I have been wondering the same thing, lets hope the guys at HTC are still keeping to the strict manufacturing quality and not just trying to keep up with demand by lowering any manufacturing standards small as they may be

  44. Dear Clove. I am from Russia(Moscow). Could you please tell me the full price of HTC DesireHD. I can’t understand what is VAT and which price is correct.

    • Hi Ruslan,

Thanks for the inquiry. The total to have an HTC Desire HD delivered to Russia once it is available will be £399.99 (Desire HD) + £18 (Royal Mail shipping) = £417.99. You will not be charged VAT if the order is shipped to Russia.

  45. Ran Lottem says:

Firstly, thank you for your honesty.

My concern is that people who wish to order a DHD from you will all order the instant you reinstate ordering, so that if I’m an hour late ordering it, I will still be on the bottom of a long list, even having waited for you to return to an in stock situation.
I still wish to order from you, having heard many recommendations, but I’d like to know how you plan on dealing with the avalanche of orders which would mean waiting times won’t be much shorter…

    Thanks in advance!

    • We will do our best to manage the situation as best we can. We intend to put the Desire HD back in stock once the stock level is sufficient to cover the bulk of demand that is anticipated.

  46. Thank you Clove for your openness and honesty about this matter. And to everyone on here having a go at them, RELAX – It’s a phone.. you’re misdirecting your anger – it’s not remotely in their interest to hold out on you, they’re doing the best they can with the limited resources and stock they get.

Good on you guys for keeping us up-to-date via this blog – you’ve won me over as a customer for life with your fantastic support and communication.

  47. I’ll wait my DHD from You.(Tashkent.Uzbekistan)

  48. good afternoon!
I am glad that you have laid out the information on a condition of delivery of phones.
The information is laid out on November, 10th, for today is valid?

  49. maltus, Russia says:

Dear Clove! Now, with this new delay, HTC really gives you an opportunity to ask them for some kind of compensation for your consumers (and thus – for your reputation also).

By the way, guys. I see here lots of people from Russia and Russian-speaking countries. Does anybody know, what’s the safe way to add cyrillic fonts and keabord to the D-HD interface? Or, may be, it is built-in already? Clove, may be you can answer.

Clove, sorry for the off-topic, but we need to kill this long time somehow :)

  50. Unsurprisingly the estimated delivery dates have shifted for the worse and in all probability will do so again. As things stand, since my order is in the third batch there is a real possibility that the dhd will not arrive by Christmas.

HTC have failed badly, and should definitely offer some form of compensation to mitigate the battering their image has taken. However I would rather forego any compensation and have the device in hand now.

  51. OK this is driving me nuts…

i ordered on the 24th of september. My DHD was sent on the 2nd of november, but is still not here… the online tracking is a joke, i could track it until it left the uk which was 1 day after it was dispatched, what is the point of having it if i can follow it for 1 day of a 12+ day delivery? i should have paid the extra for faster delivery.

    • The package should be with you very soon Allan. Royal Mail delivery tracking displays when the order has been dispatched, when it has been passed to the overseas postal services and when it has been delivered. It is frustrating that it is not more thorough.

  52. Владимир says:

Мда… в россии мы его еще пару недель ждать будем.

  53. OMG – This is the beginning of the end for Clove. I will be truly soiling my self if I were in your shoes.

  54. hi Clove! Could you pls inform all of your dhd orderers about the following.
there are a lot of talks about the defective back cover in the net. But some people who already bought the device say that everything is ok with back cover but some of them the say opposite. Will you check the device in terms of possible defects before despatch? best regards

  55. Guys,

Again, without blaming you, this is getting silly. It seems that high street retailers and networks have been receiving deliveries over the last couple of weeks and yourselves and the other online resellers haven’t.

‘Component Issues’ sounds like a fairly serious production delay (not just another 3 days) and seems strange as deliveries are still happening. Are HTC just not managing to produce enough stock and diverting your shipments to the likes of CPW whilst lying to you?

Are HTC aware of the harm this is doing to their reputation?

Anyway, what I’m driving at is, could you elaborate on ‘Component Issues’ and what have you been told is the ‘worst case’ given that the information above suggests that the three days of further delay is ‘best case’….

    • Exactly. The shift of the delivery dates by only 3 days does not tally with their explanation of ‘component issues’. 3 days would perhaps imply some miscalculation in production estimates.

We need to know the real situation from HTC. Whilst Clove may be simply relaying the (mis)information arriving from HTC, it seems that the latter are just biding time and providing unrealistic delivery dates.

    • 100% agree with you.
either HTC is lying at Clove, Handtec and expansys
or these Online retailers know something and won’t say it to us.

    • Come on Clove. You’re replied to a lot of the posts let’s have your take on this one.

I don’t really expect you to call HTC liars but I really would like to know if you know anything more than ‘Component Issues’. Surely HTC owe you and us a little more than that.

Also, I can’t believe you didn’t at least ask them for a worst case. Even if they declined to provide this information please do pass that on.

      • What we have been told by HTC is that certain components are affecting the speed of production, namely the chassis.

There is no need for HTC to lie to or mislead us. The shipping dates they provide us are estimates, it is easily possible for a shipping date to slip by a few days if enough handsets have not been produced. With demand this high it is important that as many handsets are shipped as possible in each shipment, so if a few extra days means filling a shipment then it makes sense.

If carriers and retailers have stock it will be surplus from previous shipments that they have received, not from a new shipment that has been kept quiet from online sellers.

      • Thanks for the update. I’m not sure I agree with the logic of ensuring shipments are complete rather than getting some phones out quicker but it can be argued that is better.

It does seem odd that a couple of the networks claim to have received very large deliveries in the last week but I accept that HTC wouldn’t be quite so foolish as to steal from peter to pay paul so to speak.

I think from my point of view I’m very interested in what happens with this latest date that HTC have indicated. If they do indeed deliver on Friday then perhaps it is a good sign and we can hope the rest of the schedule will be fulfilled. If it’s delayed further I would have big concerns. I’m sure you guys will post about Friday when you know but when you do speak to HTC next could you please try to extract some more pessimistic estimates and find out whether when stock starts to flow things will be sorted or whether we’re likely to end up with a gap of >1 week between each delivery (that’s my real worry)….

      • Yes will try to confirm that the estimates are accurate as possible

  56. john matrix says:

another delay, ffs. I know it’s not clove’s fault but as a purchaser it really pains me to know what when i ordered my phone back around 45 days ago IF i had chosen the other reseller webstie i would have had my phone more than 2 weeks ago.

This is just a point of view from a buyer. All the buyer cares about is price and delivery date, they don’t care about component issues, stock deliveries or any of that stuff all they care about is how much they pay and when they can get it. I’m sure I’m not the only one in this position and I’m sure that when next time comes many buyers will choose other options instead because of their bad experience this time.

  57. Is Clove censoring this blog? I’ve made a couple of posts criticising HTC’s failure in effectively tackling the lact of DHD supply but they have disappeared.

  58. Okay now I am not amused with HTC. A freind of mine was able to get his HTC Desire HD in Spain from his Carrier which I think is Vodaphone Spain.

They told him that they are expecting more orders this week. :O I am taking that with a pinch of salt as it may be sales rep talk but if it is true then they are fulfiling major phone carriers orders and leaving companies like Expan, Clove etc in the lurch.

HTC are not gaining any friends. X(

[Shrug] However, there is little that we can do but wait. Oh well it will be a good Xmas toy to play with at this pace.

Oh Chris I did not receive any notification this time on the updated list could you please check that. Thanks

    • At this stage we are not emailing customers when the list changes, as it changes so frequently at the moment. We ask you to check back to the product listing and blog and as soon as there is a significant change we will send out another email.

  59. Handtec delayed till week commencing 22nd, are you?

  60. Hi, I know it’s been a long wait, but I think it’s great Clove are actually updating with some kind of information on the huge delay. I have ordered through Handtec and I have emailed them and HTC UK directly and got no actual reasonse for the delay they both advised they couldn’t tell me why. I thank you Clove as at least I can get some sort of info and know I’m not the only one who is desperately awaiting the arrival of this awesome phone!
    Kathleen

    • yes you are right, but it’ll be more respectful if the told us the “REAL” reason for the delays, which BTW i don’t think it’s a manufacture issue anymore, as you can see a lot of other local shop are getting tons and tons of the phone.

      • Yes… I still get the feeling HTC are telling fibs.

CPW seem to have had a reasonable amount of stock in this week and claimed to be entirely out of stock for a chunk of last week. Orange are also apparently shipping quite a lot out to their stores at the moment.

HTC do seem to be prioritising the networks etc :/

      • exactly.. cos i went to the Vodafone store and asked about the handset.. to my surprise they had heaps of stock on hand..!!

HTC is prioritising the network carrier over the independent retailers..

      • Clove guys – I know it is fairly natural to assume that the carriers and CPW/P4U will get higher stock allocations that you/expansys/handtec etc but I think there is enough anecdotal evidence that things are skewed beyond this.

Maybe something to bring up with HTC next time you speak to them.

  61. The only thing that I can say “Clove thank you very much for this care and these updates about the delay in delivering the orders”.
Clove … you guys are cool,

I hope to hear good info.

  62. Clove I am reading on various forums that there are sound/vibration issues and proximity sensor issues with the first batch of HTC Desire HD. Could this be the reason for the delays?

  63. Well, that’s that.

HTC have lost themselves a customer but due to taking the time and effort to keep us informed Clove haven’t.

I have changed my order for to a Milestone 2 and saved a fair amount of cash in the process.

    • karnka: well done :) i’m another dissatisfied htc customer in waiting, they are doing themselves more harm than good in the process of the dhd, I’m about to forget about the dhd and flit back to nokia get me an N8 & yes b4 anyone says anything, i know it isnt a patch on the dhd, but at least i can purchase it straight away:)) which has to be a good thing, plus like you Karnka, save me a bundle of wonga

  64. I have heard a rumor that HTC may not be providing HTC Desire HD stock until mid-late December???

How does this affect my order of 14 October?

Factoring Christmas postal delays this would realistically mean my order would arrive in January 2011!! So I would not even have the concolation that it is a Christmas toy!!!

I may be overly supicious but is HTC trying to push people to the Win7 phones?

Please say this is not the case…

    • Amazon have claimed they won’t be receiving stock till mid-december. They could well be covering themselves in case of further delays so i wouldn’t take that as Gospel.

    • I’m suspecting the same here. 5 new win7 phones! and DesireHD has unexpectedly high demand? I think that some deal was struck between MS and HTC that left little production capacity for DHD :(

      • That’s very far fetched.

It was a very difficult to explain situation until Clove told us it was the aluminium casing that was causing the issues. This isn’t something which is shared with any of their other recent high end phones and issues with this explain why the DHD is in short supply and the other handsets are readily available.

There isn’t some huge conspiracy, HTC have just screwed up and not handled the situation well by seemingly prioritising the networks etc.

      • Thanks Karnka

When did Clove advise on the aluminium casing problem?

        I must have missed that.

    • but the reasons for the delays differ from what Clove said (component issues) and what HTC said (making enough HTC Desire HDs to meet demand).
i guess only god knows :P

      • Thank you for sharing that with us.

HTC says ‘we are confirming there are delays from HTC in making enough HTC Desire HDs to meet demand.’

This confirms that HTC cannot make enough Desire HDs to keep up with demand, it does not specify component issues but this is something that would affect the rate of production.

  65. People. Please cancel yours DHD, I tired wait my DHD.If you canceled yours I’ll take my DHD faster.(Joke)
    I trust CLOVE.
    Молодцы ребята с CLOVE!

  66. I hope the DHD comes in tomorrow.. Is it possible to add something to my order and also type of delivery?

  67. Hi Clove,
Can you please tell us if the shipping dates above are correct as for today?
    are you expecting more delays?
tomorrow you need to get your first shipment, is it true? or all of us need to wait some more time?

    Thanks

    • Hi Nir,

Unfortunately stock has been delayed again. The next shipment is now expected next week.

      • OMG… I bet this is going to continue till Jan 2011………… always delaying by 3 days. This is getting ridiculous.

      • Clove please update the blog more recently, dont tell us the night before the stock is expected to arrive that you are going to delay for longer

  68. What do you mean by “component issues”?
Please tell us exactly what’s wrong?

  69. Clove honestly you are the worst online store i havent used, can you just tell us when the date is e.g say we get it december 5th instead of constantly changing the date

  70. Well I just cancelled my order after yet another delay :( A first-time customer, too, now likely to be a never-time customer. Pretty disappointed. At least now maybe a few other people will move up the queue. Maybe an offer of something would have kept me waiting but to be completely silent on the issue while every other retailer acknowledges how frustrating this is for consumers and offers them at least something to compensate – well I think this is a massive oversight on Clove’s behalf.

    • Sorry to hear you feel that way. As mentioned before, if the opportunity arises for us to offer any form of compensation we will.

  71. Dear Clove. Please allow me to help you with damage control. Instead of saying “its HTC’s fault, don’t blame us, we are not responsible, situation is beyond our control”; a better marketing and damage control approach is to take responsibility. Do this by saying “although we cannot help what is happening please accept out apology, we take responsibility, we are sorry for the delay of what could be (a birthday presents, people waiting for a replacement phone, extra cost due to fluctuation of currency, keeping the credit clear for charge at any time), and as token of our sympathy please accept this (inexpensive gadget, store credit, etc). This is how you create loyal customers. Taking responsibility does not imply taking blame.

    • We are of course sorry for any inconvenience caused by the delay, but we cannot accept responsibility for a situation that is not affected by our actions. Had we known about the constraints that we would face with stock we would have stopped taking orders for the Desire HD sooner. At this stage we are simply trying to keep customers as informed as possible about when they can expect to receive their order.

      • I’m guessing that next time there’s a big HTC release you’ll be putting caveats everywhere, and allowing a lot fewer pre orders to stack up.

        Ultimately, this will harm HTC.

      • I disagree Karnka

I am sorry to say that this is hurting Clove, Expansys and Handtec’s rep more, which is unfair as they have relied on HTC promises. :(

HTC is probably not even feeling it they have no real fear as they have covered the network orders…Kaching! They have released quite a number of new Win 7 phones and meeting those orders…Kaching! They are bound to release other android phones in future. As far as they are concerned business as usual. The number of people affected by this HDH debacle in Clove may reach what a couple hundred? This is a drop in the ocean compared to the number of sales they are making on other phones and the networks.

I doubt the majority of us will cancel our orders because the phone specs are good, okay silly battery :D but you get my point.

Not even Fujitsu was this obtuse in handling their business and they were bad enough.

      • I agree it will barely hurt their bottom line, but it will hurt their rep… eventually.

The people who are being messed around by the way that HTC have conducted their business are those of us who are nicely referred to as ‘enthusiasts’ and possibly more accurately referred to as geeks.

The early adopters paying £400-500 for a phone. A very vocal minority I tend to find and people who get asked ‘what phone/laptop/etc should I buy’ by various acquaintances.

HTC have made a mistake here. I do hope that it doesn’t badly affect the likes of clove/handtec/expansys as they haven’t done anything wrong. The people who suggest otherwise too strongly places like this (and you can whinge a little, that’s natural) are being extremely unfair.

      • We are geeks? I never! :P

Today I am in a mood…better that or I would start crying :)

  72. I do not believe for one moment that the latest delivery dates specified will be honoured. Clove, there is now the distinct possibility that some, if not most or even all DHDs on order, will be delivered next year.

Since VAT will rise come January 2011 who will be shouldering the increase in VAT? Note that not only do I (and possibly others) not expect any increase in price, but rather a discount for the delivery debacle. Whether this is shouldered by Clove or HTC as a sign of goodwill is irrelevant.

    • Ye gods! Leon!

Now it is all clear! It is the classic HTC/Tory coalition VAT conspiracy. :D

We should have all seen it coming! I am definetly not voting HTC in the next elections. :P

Before anyone out there in the PC lobbies start sharpening knives I am just kidding there is no such thing as a Tory party. :P

      • Yes, perhaps HTC can keep their future product launches very low-key without all the glitz.

I mean, you first get a flashy presentation by the HTC CEO and his acolytes but then they forget that perhaps they needed to ramp up production just a wee bit so that we can purchase the super-phone they just announced.

  73. When is Clove and the other independent retailers are going to say enough is enough, Why not ask HTC to inform you when they have sufficient stock on hand to fill at least some the back orders instead of these constant updates that make people more despondent. The next delay I hear I will cancel my order.

    • The problem we have Bert is that if we do not specify an estimated date, we get a barrage of emails from customers with backorders asking us to provide one.

    • Yes, but an even greater problem is that these estimated dates are more based on fiction than fact. Even though these dates are provided by HTC the continous changes show clearly enough that they have no idea when things will get better. And this from those people that should know more than others how things stand!

  74. How much does shipping cost for delivering with couriers of DHL to Russia

  75. I want discount :)

  76. Clove you should be giving some freebies for all the people who preordered and have been having to wait ages for the phone

  77. Only solution is :
All you guys cancel your order ?! ,To get mine faster , funny ha !
Actually ,It is a bad reputation to all HTC resellers that HTC made from this situation ??
Why HTC going through this , I think ” BELIVE” they want to sell WINDOWS 7 MOBILE phones ! , Is that true ? ,I say “yes”.
but if that the really what is going on ,then ,the HTC making business in wrong way !

sorry CLOVE but you in bad situation with your customers “Not really good at all it is going worst thing happens ever”.
For me I do not have any problem in waiting, but the others, they not.

I wish to you “CLOVE” a good luck in all this !

  78. Hi Good people,
I’d like to suggest you wile you are waiting to your DHD (I’m waiting too) few thinks:
1- be nice to your family
2- call an old friend and invite him to dinner
3- Try to help someone near you that have real problems (no just waiting to his DHD).

I know that you really want your DHD but come on, this is a pre order. pre orders have risks with delivery time, potential bugs etc’.

Thanks and have a really nice weekend,
    Ariel

    • I’ve actually donated blood a couple of hours ago, nothing to do with yuor suggestion though.

In any case it is not a preorder anymore since mid-October.

    • Brilliant post Ariel! Let’s get some perspective people…it’s a phone. If waiting for a new high-end smartphone is a significant stress in your life then you are very lucky indeed.

  79. Okay rummaging around the internet (fancy way to say I have misspent a few hours of my life googling :P ) I note that history seems to repeat itself with HTC.

In May HTC had again component shortage troubles in respect of being able to deliver HTC Droids

    http://phandroid.com/2010/05/26/component-shortages-the-cause-of-droid-incredible-supply-woes/

So it begs the question if theyfriggin had this problem not so long ago on a phone which was not expected to have half the demand that DHD was going to have why the heck didnt they prepare themselves better.

From a Spanish saying: Truly HTC is the only animal which trips over the same stone!! :P

If i had a procurement manager, production manager and/or marketing analyst working for/with me in this manner I would have fired his rear posterior in may let alone now. :o

    Beggars belief! :(

    • I think that was _sort of_ Samsung’s fault. It was an AMOLED screen shortage that led to big issues with the Incredible and some issues with the Desire. Since then they have reworked the Desire and Incredible to use different screens. DHD doesn’t use an AMOLED anyway.

Not quite the same thing but your point is taken.

      • And the point is…?

If you as a company had a problem with supply of components in May on some of your best selling items wouldn’t you the next time you are going to release your new best selling item make blinking [insert expelitive here] sure that you do not have component shortage issues this time e.g. make sure you have enough of them in particular if your marketing and research analyst have been able to give you some reasonably good numbers which HTC got because everyone has been raving about the HDH for months and months?

HTC must have known for sure that they were going to get X hundreds/thousands of orders. I mean just in the UK vodaphone CPW Clove expansys etc would have given indications/contracted for x orders.

By jove HTC should have then made sure it had the things before it went out and advertised it was releasing them in September/October.

So i go back to priorities of products placements (see my almost tongue in cheek post of 4.44 pm below) because if DHD is really that important to them and they are not prioritising another OS range then they are large enough to have made people move the week before last. IMHO :P

      • Not excusing HTC in any way but I think the comparison still isn’t quite right.

The screens that were in short supply previously were bought in from Samsung, I would presume the unibody casings are made in house / custom etc. It will be an actual manufacturing issue with these (a physical problem producing them in the expected quantities), not a straight forward shortage.

It’s also a little wrong to say that they’re prioritising their other (eg WP7) phones. None of the others have an aluminium casing like the DHD so this particular problem would never cause a shortage of those.

Seriously, it’ll be a machining issue. Producing precision aluminium cases like that can go wrong. A wrong calibration somewhere and they’ll have turned out a huge batch of casings that are no use whatsoever.

  80. At this rate when the HDHs finally arrive they are not going to be the hottest smartphone to have :D

We will all have to go get ourselves other smartphones…

Oh i dont know maybe get some new phones being very strongy pushed all around just before christmas with an OS from one of the biggest companies in the world which needs to recover the ground they lost due to shortsighteness and overweening pride to a certain robot os and another fruity one…:P

Suspicious much? Just a tad :p

  81. Karnka,
Your statement isn’t entirely true, the Mozart case is aluminum, and the HD7 also have aluminum parts (both are WP7). This means that they share whatever production facility HTC is using for making casings :(

I agree with JB that DHD may have limited production capacity because other models are being pushed for whatever reason.

    • Hatem

You said what I was going to say :D

Okay karnka conspiracy theories aside if they are also producing the HD7 that is going to affect the HDH.

Bottom line the few DHD they had ready have being shipped to the networks cos they dont want them pissed off. Clove Expansys Handtec etc are not in their higher priorities atm.

So if we are lucky maybe they have resolved manufacturing issues and they start shipping them out in the agreed time slots (see above).

Personally I think HTC will delay till early December because they probably promised the Seattle firm they would do a pre Xmas push. So once they have salved Seattles push they will move on the DHDs so we could be looking at Mid December which to me represents a January arrival because of Xmas postal delays and my 14 October order position in queue. :(

Is there any January Xmas /Hanukah/Diwali type feast that I could consider the HDH a pressie :P No? Que lastima!

      • Hold my hands up over the Mozart. I’ve read a couple of reviews of it and managed to miss entirely that it’s a unibody :-)

I still maintain that the DHD is the first unibody HTC have had to make in large quantities and production issues with it remain an entirely plausible explanation for the shortages.

My last say on this conspiracy theory: if you were HTC and you wanted to push people away from your Android phones towards WP7 think about how you would do it. Would you create a shortage on the highstreet where all of the customers who go into a phone shop and say ‘one shiny new phone please’ are, or a shortage with the resellers selling to people who are paying full whack and consequently will know what they want.

People going into phone shops will often be steered towards whatever is available and the salesman wants to sell. I challenge you to find more than the tiniest handful of people who ordered the DHD outright and changed to a WP7 phone.

The whole thing is simple, HTC haven’t been able to make as many as they expected and have decided to supply their biggest customers and stiff the likes of Clove.

      • Okay Karnka

Ill laty off the consiparacy theory :D which was more tongue in cheek than anything else.

But then it means that they did very little market and product research which caught them with their pants down. :P

      • I don’t think everyone thought the conspiracy theory was tongue in cheek :)

Anyway, I think HTC must have known full well what the demand for this phone would have been, lends more credence to it being something which has stopped them producing as many as they thought they would be able to.

The thing that bothers me is that I imagine it would have only taken a few hundred handsets spread around Clove, Expansys and Handtec to ease this problem dramatically and if HTC really did understand their customers they would have made sure this happened. It wouldn’t have affected the networks/CPW/P4U too badly.

      • True

{shrug) I am moving from win mobile os to android I still think HDH is a much better deal than the constrainig Win phones but lordy they are trying my patience… :P

ATM I am trying to survive with a normal nokia phone (5310) and using internet cafes is not my idea of being mobile and definetly its not fun :D

  82. I gotta say.. I too am super frustrated! I ordered in good faith of a prompt delivery and as every day goes by this damn phone price is going up! The New Zealand exchange rate has taken a dive and now my reasonibly priced phone is gradually creeping out of my budget ! Surely offering a desktop charger or accessory would be a pretty reasonable way of compenstation and damage control.. after all I am buying the phone off Clove NOT HTC !

    • Tim, if the opportunity does arise for us to offer some form of compensation we will. If you would like us to charge you in advance in order to take advantage of a lower exchange rate we can do so. We as gutted about the delays as all you customers are.

  83. Im pretty gutted to be honest that these delays seem to be forever being slipped further away. I mean when I ordered my phone there was no indication they werent in stock. I was 0k to accept a delay but now with the exchange rate making these puppies cost more every day I have to wait the more angry i get. I feel Clove SHOULD offer some bonus/free gift to compensate for this, I bought this phone from CLOVE not HTC. There explanations are understandable but as a business owner myself, I dont sell stuff I cant deliver. C’mon guys! a free desktop charger or the like might just keep us (the remaining ones) as customers, otherwise I doubt Ill be shopping here again.

  84. This is a double whamy. I ordered on 6 Oct. US/UK exchange rate was pretty good. Then US decided to print money (official term is ‘Quantitative Easing’). The result being my actual cost has gone up $50.00 US! However, this looks like the sweetest machine around and certainly beats the locked garbage that AT&T sells in the USA. Still patiently waiting and still liking Clove. Most other companies wouldn’t even keep you informed.

  85. Hi Clove,

I know you are doing your absolute best to keep this situation in hand. HTC is really testing my patience and loyalty with what’s going on here. If ends up being after christmas I don’t think I’ll continue with the order

My serious frustration comes from a friend ordering a Desire Z 3 weeks after I made my order and he has already received it. And I’ve probably got another 3 weeks to wait.

    • Yes stock of the Desire Z is not as constrained as the Desire HD, which is surprising as its the first HTC Android with a QWERTY keyboard since the G1.

  86. ohhh please please don’t delay again..

  87. I bet the Lord?
Will carry a date or will be?

    Делаем ставки господа ?
    Перенесут даты или отправят ?

    • На этот раз указана неделя, а не день. Поэтому сегодня можем ничего и не узнать.

      • Time to change dates!

  88. Any new information?

  89. Conspiracy theories aside :)
do you think we will yet get another delay? :( or can we consider no news from clove as good news (for now at least)

  90. lemme guess another delay? or did it arrive today? pls update this blog more often

  91. did the fone come in today? please say yes

  92. what’s happening? I’m quite disgusted with HTC & ‘tho
I like their phones, I’ll look hard at alternatives- even fruity
ones- next upgrade. doubt I’m alone amongst ‘early adopters’
in feeling this way. I won’t be so quick to recommend HTC
products to my friends, family etc. now either, at least not
without the caveat that they don’t give a damn about their
customers, we’re just wallets to them. makes me concerned
about after sales service.. hope clove fill the gap : p

  93. T-Mobile started dispatching DHDs this weekend. Hopefully this means we will be getting ours soon :)

  94. Hi Clove

Expansys have changed their HTC Desire HD page. They no longer have a big no stock note or have the orders frozen. They appear to be again taking orders and promising 3 day delivery and 50% off on selected accessories.

Does this mean that they have received enough stock to have met all their orders and have surplus to take more orders.

    http://www.expansys.com/htc-desire-hd-203871/

Are you also now in stock?

Please please let this be good news!! :D

    • I’ve kept an eye on expansys throughout. Their estimates have always counted down to one day and then been reset higher. I also haven’t seen any kind of note on their site about the stock situation at any point.

  95. did you received any stock? please give us some info!!

  96. We have today (22nd November) been notified by HTC that the shipment due on the 22nd has been delayed due to component issues and will, in the best circumstances arrive on Doomsday. This subsequently changes the expected arrival and order fulfilment dates for all orders.

is this what you are going to write next?

  97. can we get an update if shipment for the 22nd has arrived or a possible dispatch date?

    thanks

  98. eagerly awaiting an update on this blog, its the 23rd here… expected at least a day or two for orders to dispatch but have they even arrived yet?

    thanks.

  99. It seems clove have no good news, so they keep silence

    • I should really give up posting here as I cancelled my order but some of this is still annoying me.

They said WEEK COMMENCING 22nd. Not 22nd. So, they’re not past that deadline yet, not even close.

      • They can just update the date to say

THIS INFORMATION IS AS ACCURATE AS IT CAN BE AS OF 23TH NOVEMBER …

This will make us feel that at least they have contacted HTC and HTC says that delivery is still arriving during this week.

These small things make me prefer one seller to another. Keeping silent isn’t a good thing in dictionary.

      • I agree with Karnka everyone is getting impatient but please chill. :D

Clove can only put wc on their information because I do not think that even a higher power [insert name of favorite deity or if an agnostic/atheist name of favorite reality game show host] knows what they are going to do from minute to minute. :p

Come Friday then we shall see if HTC have been good boys and girls and will get pressies from Santa [insert name of favorite mythical figure that gives pressies] or have been horrid girls and boys and will get coal. :P

Although if they are short on raw materials for their casings giving them minerals for pressies may be a good thing for them :P

  100. Привет CLOVE и здешние.Есть здесь кто заказал(может уже и получил)DesireHD?Мой заказ был 2 ноября.Ташкент.Узбекистан.

  101. We are waiting to here from HTC today regarding a delivery date, the post will be updated later today.

The post says WEEK COMMENCING 22nd November, which does not mean that stock was due yesterday, but is due some time this week. We are doing our best to keep you informed, it would be much easier for us to just say ‘More stock due late November/early December’, but people will ask for more information, etc.

We are extremely busy which is why we cannot answer every question posted on this article. It is as frustrating for us as it is for you that stock keeps being delayed. The only reason the post is not updated is because we do not have any more information to provide yet.

As soon as we have more information we will let you know.

  102. в Twiter мне Clove ответили следующее
in Twiter me Clove answer the following

    @clovetechnology

@_SiMBA_07 No not yet, we are expecting some stock of the Desire HD to arrive later this week

  103. Does new information means that you have shipment today or it will be big shipment 29th?
    Thx.

    • We have not received any stock today and will not receive any stock this week. The next batch of stock is due to be here on Monday 29th.

  104. STOP writing sweeten words, you are giving us a worthless hope, when you receive the phones then talk, updating the status with sweeten promises wont let your costumer to stick with you, your customers want something tangible in their hand.

    • Some people screaming at Clove to provide updates, some people saying they don’t want updates. Madness :)

If anyone is interested I received the Milestone 2 I opted for instead of a Desire HD this morning.

Bit early to have checked over it fully but my first impressions are very good. A very nice, solid piece of hardware at a decent price.

Pleased I made the switch rather than waiting till December.

      • good for you, i’ll be happy to hear true promises that will happen, but promises as what clove been giving to suck our angry are worthless and i prefer if they just don’t.

      • Madness?
This is Sparta! i mean Clove…

    • Hi NoEnd,
      Cancel your order, stop suffering.
You make us tired, no one forces you to onrder from Clove.
worthless hope? Something tangible in your hand?
Look how useless you are without your DHD.
Don’t bother to reply, I’m working with —— people like you.
      Bye!

    • Dear NoEnd,
There are other places to buy. Cancel your order and quit wasting our time. You add nothing to the blog except whining. Tired of your drivel.
      B-bye!

  105. to Clove:
you wrote “this shipment is not guaranteed”. Does this mean exactly “shipment” or “date is not guaranteed”? Does this mean that the next batch may not come to you at all?

  106. I received a ‘personal’ email regarding my order placed on the 25th October. It said that the batch of dhds due on the 29th November will clear all orders until the 20th October and customers will start being charged this week in anticipation of prompt dispatch.

I do hope that if I am charged this then my order will be dispatched with the batch due on the 29th Novermber. I will not accept botherwise.

    • Typos – I do hope that if I am charged this week then my order will be dispatched with the batch due on the 29th Novermber. I will not accept otherwise.

      • But I already charged, as I saw in my VISA online account that Clove charged me for the desire HD from 2010/10/18 ?
Then I should receive my devices soon or maybe next week !

  107. gary zhang says:

hi clove, it says that the novmber 29th stock will be for october 20th inclusive, yet there was actually a group before, a 06oct inclusive, has this been shipped or is this group combined with the 20th inclusive?

  108. Does anybody, who canceled order, got the money back?

  109. “Retail CLOVE TECHNOLOGY 434.99 GBP 2010-10-05 13:51:26″

You took payment on October, 5th
Right after I have made the order!

  110. Ok. If it is blocked, when I cancel the order, it must be unblocked!

  111. Thanks to those of you that have tried to clarify this already:

When you place an order on our website, the money goes into a holding account and is ‘blocked’ so to speak. However, at this stage the money has not been taken from your account by us, therefore you are not liable to any bank charges. It may look as though the money has been withdrawn as it is unavailable for you to spend.

If you cancel your order, the money is released and the time frame for when it will be available again will depend on your bank.

    • I got it , thanks for making that clear to me.
      thank you

    • Hello, I placed an order in 3rd November, my money was blocked, but few days ago they became “unblocked” and came back to my card. Is it OK? Or something went wrong?

  112. OMG HandTec just updated their status they are getting a stock tomorrow morning

    • And you believe that this stock that they are getting will covers all their orders?
This is a way to saying the truth but not all the truth.

      • “AT LEAST” they all ready covered till the 13th and by tomorrow they will cover until the 24th
i don’t know about clove but i remember that they only covered until the 6th?

  113. We have received some stock of the Desire HD this afternoon. This makes up part of the shipment due on Monday 29th November and does not affect the dates that we have provided for estimated shipping dates.

  114. Thank you very much
You do above and beyond your customers and this great thank you

  115. Dear Clove, I have a question about the shipped HTC Desire HD devices.

Is the Desire HD available only in black color? Because I want to have it in black, but it doesn’t state anywhere to choose from what color I want, so I m guessing its the only available color, or I am mistaken?
    Thanks for clarifying in advance.

  116. my order was on the 25th of oct., so this mean that Im not included in that shipment date !!!!!!?????
    GGGGGUUUUUUUYYYYYYSSSS
MY BIRTHDAY IS ON THE 27 OF NOV
    OOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
    Im just very angry
    sorry
wish I made the order 5 days earlier
    anyway
Thanks Clove for the update :)

  117. gary zhang (aka lost prince) says:

Hey clove you mentioned you recieved some stock on wednesday, will that clear any orders for people who ordered much earlier than the 20th october?

  118. Hi, Clove!

    Привет, русскоговорящим )
Откликнитесь, кто заказал и уже получил DHD в России. Интересует, сколько по времени до Москвы посылочка идет?

  119. Hello, I placed an order in 3rd November, my money was blocked, but few days ago they became “unblocked” and came back to my card. Is it OK? Or something went wrong?

  120. Dear Clove – woot woot. I’m very excited. Mate, after what we have been through I think we should sit down together for a beer.

  121. the stock that you dispatch today will cover orders till what date?

    • Good point up to what date does this stock covers? :D

I am just asking as an interested party who put his order in on the 14 October and is hoping (crossing all fingers, toes, legs and eyes) that the 14th is covered but who realistically feels deep in his gut that the units received will not reach that date.
      :P

      But hey who knows!!!

  122. Good news for me!
my order was on the 04.10
    And now DHD sent!

    • Vitaliy666 says:

Interesting… My order 30.09 and I haven’t received till now the notice on sending

      • еще интереснее то, что денег не сняли
        блокировка через месяц отключилась

    • Владимир says:

Не тебе что реально уже отослали?! Везет. ТЫ потом строкони за сколько и куда дошла. Халявный тел получишь что ли? ась?

    • My order is the same, but i wasn’t received any notification…

  123. Hey has anyone noticed that the Carphone Warehouse have had the phones in stock for 3 weeks now? Does cost £25 more right enough. Not that I am trying to ruin Clove’s business but if you really didn’t want to wait that long or needed it for your birthday…

  125. I ordered mine on the 03/10, how are order’s placed after being shipped before these?

    • We try to dispatch orders in as chronological an order as possible. It is likely that someone else has just received their dispatch notification email before you.

  126. I ordered mine on 5/10 and still haven’t got a notification and I have noticed that people who ordered after me have got theirs dispatched….why is that?

  127. I’m trying to be patient, but it is most difficult. I ordered on 6/10, my credit card was charged on 24/11. Still no email notification even though others who ordered later have been notified. ‘My Account’ at Clove still shows nothing new, no dispatch date, no tracking numbers, spam filter has nothing either. What’s going on?

  128. Hey Clove, i recieved the email regarding my item being ready to be dispatched and saying that i was required to verify my details by sending the autorization code, after contacting my bank i was told that no transaction was processed? what do i do now?

  129. THANKS CLOVE

I GOT MY DH TODAY .PUT I NOTICED THAT THE FINISHING OF THE PHONE IS NOT GOOD .IS THAT A SINGH OF HIGH DEMAND ON HTC ?

  130. I am happy that clove has received adequate stock to cover all orders up till 20th October, but I am sad to say that I foresee my DHD arriving in January 2011 given that I ordered mine on the 27th October which puts me in the 6th December batch(given the prompt arrival of stocks fingers crossed)added to that two to three weeks shipping judging from recent experience(DHD Proporta leather case and DHD Case-mate case haven’t reached yet) and the Christmas rush, sigh! January 2011 I see… Sigh! again.
But on the bright side I will have My new DHD for the New Year.(huge smile:)

  131. Cloooove. May I expect the phone to be shipped today? I ordered on the 03/10/2010.

  132. Today is D-Day…hope my DHD gets dispatched today because i cant wait any longer…

  133. Clove i recieved your notification regarding my dhd ready to be dispatched but the problem is my bank has not received anything saying that the payment has been processed so i cannot ask for any authoorisation code?? what am i required to do now?

  134. My oreder was 18/10/2010 I hope to receive the HTC Desire HD soon.
I think I should receive DISPATCHED today !!

  135. My order was dispatched today. Thanks, Clove.

  136. I made my order on 14 October, should I expect it to be sent out today or tomorrow?

Reason I need to know is that I have to make arrangements for someone to receive it in the next few days as I am now away from the country on business.
:P I did not expect the delays from HTC and booked various meeting this week and the next :D

I had expected to show off the HDH on this trip will need to hide my old Nokia (nothing bad with it just not a smartphone) for a while longer! :D

Again as always thank you in advance.

  137. My order (CT10093014973D) from 30 September, till now PROCESS…
Something not so? My friends ordered later, already all have received letters with number tracking…
    On letters(sales@clove.co.uk), you don’t answer…

  138. My DHD has finally been dispatched!!!! Thank you clove…cant wait till it gets here

  139. I cancelled the order I placed on 25th October, therefore all who ordered after me move up one place. I was not prepared to wait at least another week, minimum.

I since ordered from another online retailer and my DHD has already been dispatched, should be with me in two days max.

  140. WOOOOOOOOOOOOW GOOOOD NEWS!!!
    ME HAPPY :-)

  141. pity that such a Company can so long to fulfill their orders .. 8 (

  142. Got my email. My Account shows “Dispatched.” So Happy! Now if blizzard holds off so it can be delivered. Thank you, Clove.

  143. I received notification says : Dispatched .
I am very happy ,thanks CLOVE .

  144. Thanks for the update clove.
I would like to add that HTC dlna adapter to my order if that’s possible and combine shipping.

I emailed a few days ago, but no response.

Looking forward to having my phone before Christmas though!

  145. hey clove, buddies, thanx 4keeping us informed throughout this situation, u really have gone beyond the usual level of customer service.
I chose to buy from clove rather than your competitors ‘cos u had lots of good reviews- so far they’ve proven correct.
    thanx in anticipation.
PS I can’t wait to get my dhd!! I’m so excited!!

  146. Mine Dispatched

  147. Clove i was informed by you that a dhd was avaailable for me and so i sent an authorisation code yet i get a reply after saying that it hasnt been dispatched and will be during the week? what is going on?

  148. If been waiting a month but i am sure its not from clove .. and had to borrow a phone because mine broke just one question to clove ?? you dispatch by order list? r we getting the phone this week ? hope dates wont be changed again because i am going mad without it

  149. Any news? Maybe shipments will arrive today or tomorrow ?

  150. when you say your order will go this week, does that mean your order will be dispatched later on in the week or it will will arrive to me later on in the week?

  151. Hey Clove,
Just curious if the exciting weather you guys are experiencing have affected any of your current shipping dates (regarding stock coming in and going back out)?

  152. Hi.when you can pre-order on the dhd?

  153. Will you guys be dispatching during the weekend?

  154. Clove I made my order on the 5th of October, believing my order was to arrive shortly after my purchase. My order was then said to be available for dispatch mid November; a month after i placed my order but has been continuously delayed till now even through it was said to be already ready for dispatch several weeks ago. I could’ve canceled my order and have it earlier from a different seller.

    • Your’e right!
But all the expected delivery dates where estimations according to HTC promises.
Legally and logically you’ve got nothing to do but suing HTC.

  155. Hi,
In order to decide to purchase HTC Desire HD from your online website, Please advise for the follwoing clarification:
    1. I am living at Saudi Arabia, so will HTC cover the warranty pf the device at Saudi if I will purchase it from you?
    2. is HTC arabic supprt?

    • The warranty should be covered in Saudi, otherwise it can be returned to us for repair by HTC UK. There is not built-in Arabic support, although there are various Arabic applications that you can download from the Android Marketplace.

  156. Any new about your weather?

  157. Just ordered this today after seeing that you will have enough stock to take orders from Dec 6th.

Just wondering if its safe to say my order will be dispatched early this week along with the rest of the Dec 6th batch, or do I possibly face a 1 month+ wait like some others have posted above?

    • At this stage we cannot confirm an exact date, but we do anticipate your order being dispatched later this week. It will not be a 1 month + wait.

      • Don’t hold your breath when Clove says this though. I ordered my DHD when their website said stocks arriving next week. It’s been a month and almost 2 weeks now and still not even shipped yet.

  158. Where do i get my dispatch code, clove u eamiled that my order went last week but didnt give me any codes

  159. gary zhang says:

Where is my Desire HD? Are you going to update this blog anytime soon? What happened to all shipping out last week? No dispatch notification was recieved

  160. Clove now have early morning, maybe 2-3 hours later bew information will be shown

  161. it’s not early morning anymore, what’s going on with your weather and our dhd’s? despatching today? thanx for your attention.

  162. I am joining to Anna, what’s the news?

    • Sorry for the delayed response, we have been waiting for a stock update ourselves this morning. Stock will be here later today and we will begin dispatching orders ASAP.

  163. Hi

If I was to order my Desire HD in the next few days when can I expect it to be sent?

    • At the moment we expect to be able to dispatch it by the end of the week, although this is not guaranteed at this stage. We will clarify the stock level for new orders ASAP.

  164. Clove what is going on with the dhd’s? Has it been dispatched?

  165. Stop asking the same question over and over again. Let them do their job. Don’t bother them with emails, be patient.

  166. gary zhang says:

Hey clove, you told me that my order was sent earlier last week, but i didnt receive any dispatch codes?

    • I can’t find an order under the name or email address that you are using here. If your order was sent, you would have received an email with a tracking number.

  167. have any been dispatched this week yet ?

  168. Hey clove last week you emailed me saying “The order went earlier this week. Thanks again.” But i haven’t recieved any dispatch information or codes

  169. Hey clove last week i received an email from you saying “The order went earlier this week. Thanks again.” but i didnt get any emails about dispatch or any codes?

  170. Hi, Clove! When my order will be sent?

  171. hello clove we will have the phone till end of this week??

  172. What about your weather now Clove? Can you dispatch my order please?

  173. Alex Cheung says:

My DHD has been dispatched!!! THANKS CLOVE!! Will be definitely buying more from you guys

    • when did you order?

      • Alex Cheung says:

I ordered it on the 1/11/10 a bit of a wait but it wasn’t Clove’s fault… Hopefully it will be deliver before the weekend but I don’t think that will happen

  174. Me too :)
Thanks Clove !!! Good luck !!!

  175. hey clove, thanx for keeping us informed (without deception) during this situation.I have despatch notification and am very EXCITED!!
Best wishes to u all, enjoy the holidays.xx

  176. Mine’s been dispatched :D
    Ordered 24th October

  177. mine was dispatched and received the codes.. thanx clove… I live in Australia… when approx. will I receive my phone ???

    • No Porblem! Delivery to Australia takes approximately 4-7 working days by Royal Mail, or 2-3 working days by DHL.

      • Im in Australia and its been more than 7 working days since my order was dispatched and i havent got it yet. Im leaving the country on Monday for holidays so what am i supposed to do if i havent got it by then?

    • If your getting it delivered by DHL then use the tracking number you got to see where it is atm

  178. Alex Cheung says:

@TRM did ur DHD ship with DHL or Royal Mail?

Mine is with DHL and left LONDON-HEATHROW on Wednesday at 7am (their time)… just waiting for an update on the shipment I hope it arrives Australia today, and if it does i hope I get it tomorrow :)

Apparently Royal Mail takes ages to arrive to Australia…

    • same, i hope mine arrives tomorrow aswell

    • It shipped through royal mail…i tried to change it before it was dispatched and clove sent me an email saying they would change it to DHL but they didnt so now i just have to wait and see if it gets here before i leave on monday night…i dont know why its taking so long…

      • Sorry if there was an error that occurred on our part. Today is the 7/8th working day that your package has been in transit, it should be with you very soon.

      • I am in the same boat, i am in Aus, mine was dispatched by Royal mail on the 6/12 and havent received it yet, when i asked clove they said it would take 7-18 days, a bit longer than the 3-7 days i was inital told and what was stated above, anywho, just wnat my phone

        • Hi, you should not have been told 7-18 days, although we are finding packages are taking a bit longer than usual due to the festive period. It should be about 7-10 days.

  179. mine too is been dispached thnks again clove for keeping us informed looking forward to buy from you !! joel Malta

  180. Ran Lottem says:

Can people who have recently received a “dispatched” email tell us what date they ordered? That way we can keep track of how far along Clove are :)

    • Ran Lottem says:

Ok, never mind, I ordered 3/12 and just got said email, guess the wait wasn’t as long as I expected it to be.

      Cheers Clove!

  181. Received mine yesterday.
Awesome phone, does everything I want & defiantly worth the money.

Thanks clove, It’s just a shame that there were delays but that won’t stop me from buying stuff from you again

  182. i can not find in your website my order status.
    please add.

besides is the order refernce numberis the same as the shipmen number ?

    • Shipment number is received when your order is dispatched, they email it to you. It’s separate from the reference number in your account.

  183. same here…i ordered mine on the same day as you and my phone hasnt arrived yet…its been 2 weeks since it was dispatched and i was told it would be here in 3-7 days… i am very unhappy!!!

  184. Hmmmm…. apparently the last posting dates for South & Central America, Caribbean, Africa, Middle East, Asia, Far East (including Japan), Australia and New Zealand through Royal Mail Airsure is on the 6th of Dec. I missed it by 1 day…. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • I feel your pain i live in new zealand and mine was posted on the 7th.do you know when the next posting date is i feel like im in purgatory haha, actually its not that funny:(

  185. Thank you clove

I have now had my HDH for a couple of weeks and it is an awesome device.

The only quips I have is that Gibraltar is not a locale were App Market for paid ups works as yet and HTC Sense website does not have Gibraltar and I cannot use HTC website. Support response was that their website was being worked on and it would be available shortly.

Then again this could be a template response and HTC appreciation of shortly for Gibraltar may be in the next century or so. :P

we will wait and see…In any case thanks for everything again.

  186. maltus, Russia says:

Finally got mine :) (ordered on October 6th)
Thanks god, Russian post did it rather fast and didn’t steal it))))

  187. M. Anas Helal says:

    Hi there Clove,

I placed my order yestrday for one HTC DHD, and made sure that stock was available…

I have not got any shipment or dispatch confirmation yet, but when I saw all of the posts here and that maybe until now, only the November orders are being dispatched, so when should I expect my order to be dispatched?

    • We are currently processing and dispatching all Desire HD orders. Your order will be sent within the next day or so.

      • Anas Helal says:

        Hey there…

I just got my phone today,I waited only for 4 days of waiting…

        Thanks Clove…

And by the way…the Device is amazing….

    • Did you complete the security checks? If you haven’t, then the processing of your order may be delayed a little. Just follow the instructions in the first email you got from them and you should be good.

  188. I am really not happy with the experience involved with the purchase of this phone, it s been a long and frustrating process and I am still waiting for my phone.
    Ordered 27th October 2010.
I will cancel my order tomorrow Friday 17th December its beyond ridiculous now.

  189. Uh oh… You’re from NZ rite? Crap, hope this doesn’t apply to me too.

  190. Hi was just wondering how the shipping is going in all the bad weather? Im from NZ if i order a Desire HD soon what sort of wait should i expect? OR will it be better to wait until early next year and hope for weather to clear for delevery. This site is highly recommended by geekzone forums so want to buy from here.

    • Hi Mike, thanks for the inquiry. At the moment we are still dispatching orders. If you opt for DHL courier shipping, it should not be too disrupted due to the weather, so it should be with you next week sometime. However, Royal Mail shipping is severely disrupted by the weather and volume of packages being sent in the UK so if you would like to have the order shipped by Royal Mail perhaps wait until the new year.

  191. I really regret that I indulged myself in this hassle, I ordered the phone on the 25th of oct. then they said that it was sent overseas by the royal mail on the 7th of dec to Australia and till now Im still waiting (22 of dec.), the phone is actually here in Australia and on the ebay for approx. the same cost or a little bit expensive.
I ‘m really very angry and very upset and the x-mas holiday is coming and everything will be closed and hopefully I will receive it after x-mas

2 months is really to much to wait for a phone.

    THANKS CLOVE

    THANKS HTC

    • I’m in the same boat, I ordered on 26/10 and it was dispatched on 8/12 to Australia, and am still waiting for it. I think I’ve been patient enough in waiting 2 months for a phone without bugging you guys too much, but I at least thought it would come before Christmas. This is getting pretty ridiculous. I now know I should have changed shipping to DHL, but the estimates given (1-6 days vs 3-7 days for Royal Mail) are quite misleading. I thought what’s the harm in waiting an extra couple days? Hmm how about an extra couple weeks…

  192. I’d just like to say got my Desire HD about a month, it’s been great since i got it, but the one thing i don’t like it that all these people who commented (including me) had to wait weeks or even months for their phones to arrive and we weren’t given anything extra.

I know it was HTC (and the weather over there in the UK) that caused the stock/shipping problems, but i just think it’s stupid that we all payed the premium for the phone and weren’t rewarded for this.

Now a month later, the phone is cheaper and everyone who buys it get a free bluetooth headset. The quality of my phone and the fact that’s it’s unlocked would usually make me want to purchase things from clove again, but the business with reducing the price right after all the delays and adding freebies, will make me seriously consider shopping with you again.
