HP Confirms Slate PC’s

imageSlate and Tablet PC’s are the hot topic of discussion at the moment, especially with the iPad proving so successful, manufacturers are just wanting to confirm their intentions so that you and I consider these and maybe hold off before buying the rather expensive iPad.

HP last week confirmed their commitment to the slate PC market.  Set to produce a Windows based variant for enterprise and a Palm webOS version for the consumer space, the computing giant is clearly keen to show its commitment to the computing market.

An extract from a press release:

"HP plans to use webOS from its recent Palm acquisition, as well as Windows 7 from Microsoft, for this category. WebOS products will span across smartphones, slates, netbooks and printers. Deployment of the Windows 7 slate will target the specific needs of select enterprise markets."

We are keen followers of the tablet market here at Clove and are investigating options available now and in the future.  We will bring you more information as we get it.
