Acer Tablet Delayed for Android 3.0

Rumours are surfacing the Acer, whom had previously planned to release an Android tablet PC are purposely delaying the launch to enable them to ship it with Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) which is due for release later this year.

Now expected to begin shipping in Q1 20111, the tablet will be more functional and better equipped as Android 3.0 is being developed to run more efficiently on tablets

Acer are still due to release a Windows 7 model before the end of the year.
