In case you hadn’t realised, demand for the HTC Desire has been far exceeding supply since the device was released and Mobile News have now published this report on the issue.
Every batch of stock that we have received has been almost entirely pre-sold and at the moment this shows no sign of changing. If you’re one of those that’s been lucky enough to receive HTC’s latest Android offering, I’m sure you’ll understand why. While the lack of stock is frustrating, it does go someway to show the popularity of the device and the uptake that Android has had in general.
From the Mobile News Report:
‘The HTC Desire was backed by the Taiwanese firm’s biggest-ever marketing campaign at launch, twinned with the HTC Legend. It said sales since launch have been double that of any other HTC device in an equivalent timeframe’.
The report also goes on to talk about some problems with HD2 repairs, although this isn’t a problem that has been that apparent to us.
