Without doubt one of the most loved electronic organisers of the modern world, the Psion, in particular the 5MX remains a much loved product for many.
Most users have adopted new technology and moved on to something more – but many hark back and want the physical size and functionality of the 5mx.
Well there may now be a solution….the PsiXpda
The PsiXpda is designed to offer a mix pc functionality with mobile mobility.
A UMPC the PSiXpda has a 1.1GHz processor and runs Windows XP Professional.
Built to a high specification, the device will live up to the rigours of everyday life whilst being small and light enough for easy transportation.
On board this innovative device, which measures 174mm x 84mm x 25mm, is a 5” LCD display with a 800 x 480 resolution, 1GB RAM, 16GB SSD and MicroSD slot.
There is also an internal speaker, microphone and a 2.5mm headphone jack.
Oh and of course these is Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi 80
2.11b/g and 3G connectivity options too.
Whilst full details and availability on this unit are still to be confirmed, we have already had a sneak peak and play with one and we can say that it is a good little product. It is expected to be available in the New Year at a price of around £500!
It wont appeal to all, but for those of you who want what a laptop can offer, but want it small enough to carry everywhere with you then it may just be the answer.
