.CAB files are the files associated with Windows Mobile smartphones.
Commonly seen on software stores, these files can be copied to your smartphone and once clicked self extract to install a programme.
Want to see how this works and how to get it on the device?
Check out our video below which demonstrates just this.

Dear Sir,
I have just downloaded a .cab file from the internet on to my laptop and have transferred it to my Nokia E71 via a memory card. From there I transferred it onto my phone. When I try and open the file I get the following message ”Unable to open. Filetype not supported” How can I fix this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Neo

.CAB files are for Windows mobile device only so they will not open on a Nokia E71. You need to download the correct file that is compatible with Symbian.
