Google launch their own operating system

Google and Microsoft have to be in one of the fiercest product battles.  The two giants are head to head in bringing new and innovative technologies to the forefront of the consumer market.

Google are currently in the spotlight with the newly launched Operating System.

Google Chrome OS as it will be named is aimed to be a low cost OS solution for netbooks and PC’s.

Their intention is to have the full OS developed and installed on devices by mid 2010.

Core to the OS will be speed, simplicity and security.

The open source platform is said to be an extension of the Chrome browser.

This whole introduction brings back images of when Linux was thrown on to the scene by ASUS 18-24months ago with their EEE PC range.

The new OS will certainly bring many advantages, no doubt with seamless integration into Google web based apps.  It will also make the competition much stronger, which can only be a good things for us, the customers and end users.

Full details on the OS and its abilities are to be confirmed.  We will bring more information as we have it.
